peered through the window. She'd gotten a tip that something shady was happening, but nothing was moving.
smokes quietly from the rooftop, letting the ashes get picked up by the wind. There's a suitcase full of cash, all counterfeit, by his feet.
adjusted the telescope, and clipped a cord to its side, feeding the other end into her laptop. Hopefully there'd be something moving
inside that building. Something alive.
If there weren't, it was easier.
decided to make good on her tip; she really had nothing to lose. She carefully stepped through a broken window and started on the staircase.
doesn't move and continues to smoke, though after a while he simply snuffs it out and tosses it over the roof. Now where was the dealer?
reached the very top of the stairs as quiet as a mouse, and takes out her gun. She presses her ear against the door.
It had taken several days to set up the wiring, she thought, and several more to conceal it. That decrepit old place didn't deserve to stand
and wouldn't be standing for much longer, in any case.
"Oh, I do hope there was nobody in there," she mumbled, chuckling, as she set the timer from her place by the window, a safe distance away.
(I appreciate your appreciation.)
(Whaaat. The 'more to an empty house' was the clue. Now escape. Quickly. BD )
carefully eased open the door, pistol in hand, and pointed it at the man standing at the other edge of the roof.
adjusted the telescope once more. Was there somebody in the building?
The laptop showed two irregular blobs of heat near the roof.
Oh well.
hears the click of the door, but he's assaulted with the sense of danger. He turns around with a scoff. ".. ah, hello, Mei-chan."
so badly to shoot right now. "Should've known it was you, Kiku-tan."
shakes his head, eyes half-lidded. "That would have been too easy, wouldn't it?"
His expression is ever neutral, though it prevades thickly with amusement. "How is Nii-nii? And James-kun."
( I DON'T KNOW WHAT KOREA IS. )
does not lower her gun. "They're fine. Actually, we were just talking about you, Kiku-tan." She can see the suitcase and would bet her
badge something illegal was in it. Just had to distract him...
( NO. HE DIDN'T DO THE MAFIA WHO ARE YOU THING )
(FFFUUU GONNA GO PRIVATE PLURK HIM >:U)
isn't stupid. He knows better than to allow Mei to even go near his suitcase, when it was full of cash-- fake cash.
The man also knows that Mei would do anything to get him behind bars. To see justice.
Especially after the incident with Yao. If he hadn't died, the man would certainly live with a scar for the rest of his life. "Really now."
slowly shuffled to the side, keeping the door on her right. That way she could abort mission if things went south. "Yeah, Kiku."
"Me 'n James read an entire speech at Ge-ge's funeral."
stills for a moment at the words. "Ah.." He hadn't truly expected that. Yao had always been stronger than any of them.
But, he'd never expected one of his surrogated siblings to betray him. Least of all, Kiku. "Ah," he combs his fingers through his hair,
soulless eyes staying on Mei. "My condolences."
( I THINK WE NEED SOMEONE TO BURST IN AND SAY THERE'S A BOMB. )
(I think that a test explosion needs to happen because at this rate we are both going to die)
The blobs of heat were still static. Had they died?
Hmn.
Not really her business.
She watched as the dial counted down to zero.
could feel something rumbling under her feet. She looked downwards, letting her guard down.
watched, morbidly interested, as the ground floor folded up on itself. Mold and structural decay would've done the job for her in five years
but she really couldn't bother waiting that long.
would have likely dived for the door-- however, it's even more unexpected when the building starts to shake and move.
"What the--" He looks over the roof, eyes widening. "Kuso! The building's falling apart." The man hadn't done all he had just to die here.
gripped the side of the roof. "Damn! And it's too far to jump..." she looked over each side. The closest rooftop was three metres away.
watched with sanguinary interest as the blobs on the quickly collapsing roof started to move rapidly. Too late , she thought gleefully.
(Also Soo is a mafioso :|)
(I'm just being IC, y'know. And extra evil because I'm in the Russian Mafiya. Which is known for its deadly dealings.)
( 8'D I KNOW RIGHT. AND I AM STILL /HOW TO SURVIVE )
(you know what let's just...um...run down the side of the building :/)
(Good idea, heat sensor blobs. But remember that nobody's allowed to escape alive. ^u^)
(Yeah, but when you die then you're DEAD. Not like you can just go 'JOKING~' and come back.)
