so, yesterday, I come home from school to find a phone message on the home phone

about how the psychiatrist isn't refilling my prescriptions until I make another appointment with her

which would've been nice if they'd told me this, y'know, earlier than TWO DAYS before my ADD meds run out

and of course by the time I got home yesterday it was a good 2 hours AFTER office hours

...orz

and naturally you can only call DURING office hours to make an appointment.

so today I call them after I get home from class

several times

they generally do only do a limited number of refills before you have to go in again, though D8

and still get the machine

so I only have enough ADD meds for tomorrow and Thursday

and I still haven't managed to get through to their secretary to make a damn appointment

I mean, the not refilling before making another appointment makes sense

but... TWO DAYS.

OFFICE CLOSES AT 4:30.

AND I KEPT GETTING THE ANSWERING MACHINE.

okay tomorrow I am going to call them before I leave, dammit, and I'm going to call until I get a PERSON speaking to me

and make an appointment AND ask about meds at the same time

and even if they DO let me get a refill after making the appointment but before the appointment itself

it'll still be a tight deadline

because then we have to wait for them to get the physical prescription, then go and pick it up from the office

then drop it off at the drugstore, then wait some MORE, and usually pick it up the next day.

dammit I should've stashed more than just one extra pill...

Go pick it up, and then drop it off at the pharmacy to get filled
