Father Ted - I Stand Corrected

growls a little, he walked out of his office and to the stairs. "WHAT? I AM TRYING TO WORK! AND TURN THAT BLOODY THING DOWN! IT'S TOO LOUD!"

ignores him, like he normally does. 'COME ON! EMBRACE YOUR IRISH SIDE!' He falls up the stairs and grabs his hand, smiling drunkenly.

frowns and holds his hand tightly. "Stop yelling. I'm right here." He stated with a frown. "I am trying to work, so quiet down, alright?"

yanks him down the steps, keeping him as close as possible. He at least lowers his voice a little 'C'mon get drunk and laugh at tv with me!'

gasps, stumbling down the stairs. "N-no. I can't! I have work to do."

'Pfft-work can always wait, Art'r.' He swings Arthur onto the couch and turns the tv up louder.

falls onto the couch, he glared a little. "TURN IT DOWN!" He yelled over the tv.

'W-watch! Watch! Dougal is going to say something funny!' Sure enough, the character says something stupid and the audience laugh. Declan_

falls onto the floor, laughing hard.

glares still, he got up and went to the wall, bending over to unplug the TV.

scrambles across the floor as fast as his drunken frame would allow him. He tries to stop him, but merely manages to grab a foot.

almost falls. "Let me go!" He still unplugged the TV anyway.

clings to his foot and rolls along the floor. 'TURN TED BACK ON! FATHER TEEEED!'

shakes his head. "No! It was too bloody loud!"

lets go of him and scrambles onto his knees, hands together in a pleading manner. 'Please-I want to laugh!'

stares at him. "Declan, stop begging, you look like an idiot. Please just get up."

hiccups and his eyes turn watery. He didn't want Arthur to think he was an idiot. He falls back on his bum and sits, dejected and dizzy.

saw his eyes water, he bent down onto his knees, shifting closer. "I don't think you're an idiot, Declan.. Please don't give me that look."

turns his head away slightly and paws at his own face in a flimsy attempt to hide his eyes. ''M not 'n idiot...sniff You don't like me...'

wraps his arms around him shaking his head. ".. You're right Declan.. I don't like you.." He kissed his head lightly. "I love you."

at first looks completely broken hearted but at the latter words he looks up hopefully. 'Y-you love me?' He points to himself (or at least_

nods to him. "Yes. You, you great dolt." He kissed him.

smiles back and shuffles into him, hugging him onto the floor. 'I love ye more, Art'r. Y'r too good for me.'

fell back. He looked up at him and shook his head. "I'm really not.. But I'm glad.. That you love me that is.."

kisses the patch of skin just under his throat. 'I've always loved ye.' He looks up and smiles. 'What are ye working on?' He asks, trying_

kisses him back and then pulls away smiling. He takes a couch cushion and lies down onto the floor with it. 'Don't be long, Art'r.'

watches him. "Why don't you just lay down on the couch, Declan?"

shakes his head, closing his eyes and he cuddles the cushion. 'S'comfier here. Room to stretch.'

nods at that. "Alright, love." He took the blanket from the couch, laying over him.

smiles and shuffles under the blanket as he stretches his legs out. 'G'night, Art'r m' love....'

bends down to his knees again to kiss his head. "Good night my love."

comforted in knowing Arthur is watching over him and quickly falls into dreamland.

stayed until he fell asleep, stroking his hair lightly, and smiling down at him lovingly.. His love.. His drunk stupid love.. He wouldn't

trade Declan for anything or anyone in the world.
