hears weird scratching outside and heaves himself up onto the sink to look outside. Mei's trying to get through the window. "Need a hand?"

slowly shakes her head. "There's a branch there that I'm pretty sure I can reach." After all, when SHE was a kid she used to take down deer

all the time. What was a little tree jumping going to do?

looked at the tree. When he was... normal sized, he could just reach the branch. "Okay, I won't help, then." He made himself comfortable.

Time to start watching the fireworks.

went way back into her room again and took a running leap, just catching the branch. And now she was stuck.

looked at the squirming child. "You need help yet?" He's giggling a bit. He picks up a long ruler- Wow, that was heavy- and holds it out.

looks at the ruler. "But then I won't be able to get out of the house ever! Wait. How did you get out of your room?"

poked his head out the window to better see Mei. "I fell asleep on the couch. Also, we have a dog door, so if you get down this way it'll be

easier to get out the door." Swinging from one window down to the other sounded fun.

peeked out towards the ruler. "O-okay, then." she said, putting one hand on it.

leaves no room for thought. He jumps over the edge of the sink, and brings Mei crashing on top of him. "Yay, it worked~!"

shrieked. "I wasn't ready yet!" she yelled, clinging to James in post-terror.

giggled and stood up. "Yes you were~ Anyway, where were you gonna go?" It's nice and warm outside, and he was just about to go walking.

lets the shock wear off and looks them both up and down. "We need new clothes." she said decisively. "These are too big."

looked down at his hoodie. It drooped past his toes, and it reminded him of a snowman. "Okay, where do we get 'em?" There were always Hello

bit her lip. The downside of being a country was that virtually all her old kiddy clothes would have disintegrated from age by now...

"Wear your T-shirt with a belt. I'll do that too!" she said, pelting back upstairs.

looks confused. That would make it a dress for him. Instead, he goes to the drawer (with difficulty), pulls out the scissors and starts

cutting his T-shirt into a mini-shirt, and cuts the floppy sleeves off. No way he was going to get mistaken for Korea again.

starts rummaging through pants. "Shorts?"

runs upstairs and looks around Mei's room. "If you have short-shorts, it'll work." Maybe, if they use belts.

pulled out her shortest pair, the one she never used in public. "here you go!"

puts it on. It doesn't even go past his knees. He shudders- people actually make this stuff? "Okay, let's go!" He resists the urge to put on

a cape and a mask. It's what he used to do when he was little...

belts her shirt and hefts a wallet, pushing the dog door open. "Let's do this!"

suddenly sees old ladies oh god no protect your cheeks

grabs a ruler for protection. Oh god old ladies RUN. He grabs Mei's hand and starts sprinting away from the old people.

could see the old ladies picking up their skirts and giving chase. Why the hell did this spell or whatever make them so damn cute?!

started running into a park when he saw the old people. He jumped off the trail and onto the grass. Old ladies don't like grass stains.

OR the less beaten path.

grabbed another branch and hauled James up after her. "Quick, climb!" she was three branches up.

started climbing the trees but then an old lady grabbed his foot. *"Oh dear, why are you climbing? It's terribly dangerous up there~!"* Oh

dear god she was pulling him down. Mei had the ruler. Oh god oh god what now

went back down and started yelling at the old lady. "Get your dirty mitts off my brother!"

felt the old lady tighten her grip as she stared up at Mei. "That was a terribly rude thing to say young girl, now come down and apologize!"

kicks the lady's hand and jumps onto the ground, and makes a run for it.

meeped as the old lady focused her laser eyes on her, and dashed after James. "What should we do?" she shouted after him.

responds by taking the Unmentionable Path- the mud pond. He splashed through it, managing to keep the old lady at bay. He motions to Mei.

takes one look at the old lady and leaps into the mud, splattering everything in a five-metre radius brown. So far, so good!

absolutely LOVES the feeling of mud. He completely forgets the old lady, who has already left, and starts playing in it. Ahh, it's so fun~!

mushes her hand in the mud. It's really...warm...

throws a mud ball at her, for no paticular reason.

ducks out of the way. "Wait, why did we go outside again?" she asked, balling up some fresh mud for retaliaton.

jumped away from the attack. "I dunno~ But this is sooo fun~!" He kicked the mud and sprayed it on Mei.

wiped it off her face. "D'you want to go see if the others are kids too?"

stops at that idea, and is smacked in the face with a mudball. He squeals happily, but says "Sure!" before trying to get Mei again.

gets pushed down into the mud, and brings James down with her to wrestle.

laughs and wrestles with Mei in happiness, then gives up and sits in the mud, laughing. "Ah, we better get some clothes now~! We're so

muddy!" And then they could search for other nation/kids.
