I don't think there can be anything more vile than telling stories to *unrelated* people where I come up as the villian.
Stories that, willingly or unwillingly, end setting these third parties against me.
I'm not even implying they're made up stories; I'm willing to bet they're actually the truth. But a *biased* truth.
Seriously, if I feel the need to tell such stories about someone to a third party, I don't give names unless required.
It's a basic courtesy thing. *Even more* if that third party is a mutual friend of both;
I really have no right on influencing what this third party thinks about this someone.
But really...I don't know what's worse. Knowing that friends or ex-friends are setting unrelated people against me, or...
..the fact that these third parties make a judgement without even bothering on checking their facts or wanting to hear MY side of the story.
But that's too much to ask to so-called friends, right? Ha ha.
Anyways, this has actually happened to me more times than what I can count. I've lost several friendships for this.
And I highly suspect it's happening again. Hence my rant.
