it costs us about £90 to completely fill up the van with diesel now. It doesn't seem that long since it was closer to £55.

It's totally ridiculous how much it costs

well it's to be expected if you've just got your own car. You'll want to pooter around in it a bit more than usual.

the first time I filled it up I just drove to work so it lasted about 2/3 weeks, but I've been driving to jordans a lot at 60mph so...hmm :-P
Matt

...at 60. Hopefully slowing down through that village thing. Otherwise that license of yours is coming right back off you again. :-P

it's 3 points if you're speeding, but 6 points if it's massively over the speed limit. And I think if you're caught speeding at all within
Matt

the first two years or something it's possible that you'll lose your license.

I think its only 1 year isnt it? And 60mph is actually the legal speed limit for most of the drive to jordans so suck on those lemons
Matt

I go the fast country way, jack lead me down the shit country way, let me get lost and spend an extra 10 minutes looking for hartwell :/
Matt

to be clear, the fast country way brings you into Hartwell the side of the motorway, right?
Simon

6+ penalty points in your first 2 years of driving = disqualification + having to resit both the theory and practical driving tests
Lizziefrog

don't forget, the faster you drive, the faster your fuel burns up
Simon

tries to be conservative! :-P
Matt asks

isn't the optimum speed something like 70mph? In terms of speed/fuel consumption.
Lizziefrog

always thought it was between 40 and 60 depending on the size of the engine
Matt
