gladly accompany her for one.
tea so it better not be tea
assures that it will be quality alcohol.
down for a meeting in that case
knocks on Maria's door, hoping to have someone to go to the bar with.
Anya
wonders 13 years ago
whether vodka's in~
knows that the bar has vodka.
opens the door and grins. "You got the alcohol?"
shakes his head. "No, but I know a place that does. Would you like to grab a few people and go with me?"
waiting around the corner, listening carefully.
nodded and shoved her hands in her in pockets. "Yeah why not. Someone should probably be the designated driver."
would be, but... they'd probably die within the first minute, if he was. "We'll just have to look for someone with good tolerance, then."
(hopes it isn't Maria driving - back.)
grinned. It was a bit creepy but hey. "I could always drive."
frowned slightly. "...Ah... I was thinking of someone with slightly higher tolerance. Perhaps Anya...?"
Ah, did I hear somebody call me? ^u^
flinched, surprised. He didn't know that she was there. "A-Anya! How long have you...?"
twitched and looked at the girl. What what she doing here? "What so she can drink all the vodka in the place?"
, "Oh, just a couple minutes." And smiles at Maria. "Drove over to get a replacement for my printer."
laughs. "I could, if you wanted me to, but no. Not now."
almost hesitated. "Well... if it's that much trouble, then, would you like to accompany us to the bar?"
paused a moment. "Drive you there?" She fished in her pockets for the keys. "I wouldn't mind."
added, "And back, if you don't mind."
glanced at Maria, then shrugged. "Part of the job." (This probably hadn't earned her any brownie points.)
shuddered and stepped outside of her home, closing the door behind her. This trip just got weird. Well weirder than it already was.
smiled slightly. "Thank you, Anya. We'll repay the favor somehow."
shrugged, a bit vacantly. "The car's parked 'round the corner." She set off. "I'll move the printer into the boot, a minute~"
nudged Arthur. "Don't say we!"
chuckled, glancing at Maria. "Well, without her, we would've had some problems..."
heaved the printer into the boot, and two toner cartridges along with them.
looked up, and saw them walking towards her. "I'll start up the car, then~"
nodded. "Thank you, Anya."
sulked and followed along reluctantly. "My driving is better when drunk. Everyone thinks so except the cops for some reason."
smiles and adds, "And the others sitting in the car."
got into the car. "Then I suppose the people that matter seem to think your driving abilities are a bit lacking."
frowned and got in the car as well, sitting as far from Anya as possible. "My driving is just fine."
presses down on the accelerator and moves the car into moderate speed. "Any suggestions? I know a good place around here~"
looks outside. "As long as they have some good scotch, I don't think I'll care."
shrugs once more and heads towards a bar she knew well. "Then this oen will do."
observed them both quietly from her place in the car.
nods, looking forward to it.
stops the car outside the bar she knew, and stepped out.
steps out as well, keeping the door open for Maria.
stepped out of the car and on the other side of Arthur to avoid Anya.
closes the door, then, and looks at the bar. "Ah, it doesn't look that bad."
walks in. "It isn't." They find seats, and she nods at the barkeeper, who understands. /The usual./
left a spot for Arthur to sit between them as she sat down. "Beer."
sits between them, then. "Scotch for me, please."
takes the bottle of vodka from the tray the barkeeper brought over, pours some into the glass, and stares at it for a moment.
glances at her. "Is something wrong...?"
shakes her head. "No, nothing." She downs the first glass, and pours another.
(Irrelevant information! Vodka is never sipped. It's usually taken in gulps. xD )
silently nursed her drink. Russia just made her skin crawl ugh. Why had she agreed to this?
wondered why all of them were silent. She was silent, but then again, she usually was.
drinks his scotch when it comes, idly wondering why the two were so quiet. "Not bad."
notices Maria's nearly done with her mug, and orders one more for her.
[I've to leave in ten minutes, sorry~]
