like it's not even entertaining
you can see Ikuhara's touch here and there but
the only good things about that anime are the music and a bunch of characters - mostly villains
super s had great imagery and an interesting concept (dreams and growing up) which wasn't developed as it could have, sadly
stars somehow seems to focus more on the characters than the victim/monster of the week (or of the day, rather)
but by 'characters' I mean Usagi, Seiya and sometimes Minako who became just as unbearable as the other senshi back during super s
Galaxia's design is so tacky ugggh
and the Starlights/Three Lights too, except for Yaten
they're so ugly I don't even
I love how much of an asshole Yaten is
and after so many years, I still don't get what's so great about Seiya WHY DOES EVERYONE LOVE HIM, sure he has a personality, unlike Mamoru
so I can see why people would prefer Seiya/Usagi to Mamoru/Usagi, and yettt, how is Seiya cool
the only romantic relationship that really works in that series is Haruka/Michiru, from their backstory to their current interactions
theirs is the only relationship that doesn't feel empty and forced, and where they're actually equals that communicate with and rely on each
They're also the only ones among my favorite characters that don't die (the Amazon Trio sort of came back to life but) welp
also oh god the Trio, I wish there was au fic of them living together, making fun of each other and then being bros when one of them is
depressed because of his shitty love life. I really liked their relationship and how they sticked together till the end.
