there's a few minor challenges;

the owner of the machine is a) computer illiterate to the extent that they don't know how to use a 2 button mouse yet, has a new machine

with WinXP (either Home or Pro), not sure what SP, and no Optical drive, c) may be unable to connect up to the net with it, d) doesn't have

a USB stick, e) doesn't have the said Ubuntu image on a USB stick. Those are just the obvious challenges.

I think she will be better off with Ubuntu than MS Windoze Virus/Worm/Trojan magnet.

I could load a bootable image on a stick here, test it, write colourful pictorial instructions on how to boot off said stick,

test instructions too, then post both stick and instructions overseas.

then just sit back and wait for phone call of panic

Might have to even consider another Ubuntu release as MID 8.04 appears to be only in Engrish?
