So I did a 10 hour shift yesterday standing most of this time.
I'm using epsom salts in the bath to combat this.
But, I'm wondering if I did a little walking on the treadmill if it would help with the stiffness at all?
I dont want to tire my legs out because I have to use them again today.
It might, you may also try just stretching them as well.
At night, you may want to try some bengay or tiger balm to help as well. Apply when you go to bed so it has maximum time to work
yeah, get the best quality, most comfortable shoes you can afford, and - this may sound crazy - change shoes halfway through, if you can...
Light walking does help. My last job was all standing for the whole shift with not much moving around. The stiffness would get worse when I
Came home and didn't move, which was tempting as my feet hurt so much
you may want to look for a thicker soled shoe and get some foot supports.
I"ve worked in kitchens and restaurants and srsly footwear is so key for long days.
like when I was I cooking I wore docs with inserts and then waiting tables I used a rubber thick sole dress shoe again with supports
yes, years ago I worked in a hospital and had 14hr shifts. There was no sitting allowed and no time to really sit anyway...
yeah invest in some good shoes. My wife used to stand on concrete for 15 hours a day. 120 dollar arch support shoes = win.
go to an actual shoe store (not foot locker etc) and ask to have your feet properly measured for the right supports
I second the changing shoes. That and a good pair of insoles or arch supports is the best thing ever for your feet.
