damn. don't think i want to shop there anymore :\
Oh shit. :S Yeaaaah no good, and a Forever 21 is about to open in my city. ><
oh them ripping off designers is really old news :') they've been notorious for it for...pretty much since they opened
also they've been involved with sweatshops...gonna make a sweeping racist statement here and say: it's a dirt cheap clothing chain owned by
but i was always curious HOW they were still going so strong despite ripping off some pretty big designers
though honestly, there's a good chance that every big chain that sells cheaper-than-luxury clothing has ripped someone else off at some
point. hot topic is a huge example
often they don't do it intentionally, it's the questionable designer agencies they hire, who just steal work from god knows where
and if you try to track down which designer did it...yeah good luck
as an artist it does bother me a bit...but in a weird way, i'm glad that f21 is so eager to settle with all these designers and compensate
them...it just isn't, as the article says, quite as much as if f21 had licensed the work officially
but if they were officially licensing patterns and etc then the clothes would be 5x the price.
all things considered, i'll still shop there. i don't have the money to buy the official designer versions anyway lol
