Thoughts on Resident Evil then? It's a bit more slow, so it might be different.

I tried reading the RE LPs but for some reason have never been able to get into them like I did with SH and FF

as much as it is a sweeping generalisation and certainly wrong i think most english dubs of japanese games have horrible voiceacting

so it becomes the norm rather than an exception

Well, if I remember right, RE was always english voiced.

you'll think the voice actors would at least try to be invest themselves in the role they're acting :B
