he shouldn't be a shut-in.

looks up and smiles at Namie. "I bought these for you, Namie-chan~"
"How sweet. And what would I /do/ with these books?" in a bored tone, looking back toward her laptop.
shrugs. "Ah, normally girls read these kinds of things when they're too unlikable to be loved by anyone, so they usually
imagine themselves being swept off their feet by some rugged and handsome and completely unrealistic man." Izaya smiled cheerfully at her.
"I thought they might fill that void where hearts are usually supposed to be."
that Izaya doesn't an answer right now, and she continues to work.
"In this one," He points at a manga colored in sky blue. "There's a brother and sister who are in love with each other!" He laughs.
leaned forward and smiled at his secretary. "Shoujo manga is silly, don't you think?"
to slap Izaya, but she controls herself, only furrowing her eyebrows and letting her mind wander to a satisfying fantasy of Izaya succumbing
laughs boisterously and spins in his chair. "I love humans! Even you Namie-chan." Izaya sighed, tossing one of the manga at her. "You're
not as fun as other humans since you try so hard to hard your feeling." He laughs again, each chortler sharp and staccato, standing on
"I could almost dare to say that you're different than the rest!" Izaya shrugs his shoulders up to his ears. "But just like a shoujo manga,
no matter how you dress up the story, a high schooler and a university student, a brother and sister, the same formula drives the story
forward. You just have to examine the details more closely." Izaya gets up from his desk and gleefully traipses over to the woman. Plopping
own beside her, he rubs a thumb her forehead. "Did you know your forehead creases when you're angry?' He smiled brightly.
bats Izaya's hand away and fixes him with a glare. "Don't you have better things to do?" She drops the manga he threw at her in his lap.
"Anyway, your online genderbending has been getting more and more abnormal."
"Oh yeah?" Izaya picks up the manga and begins to leaf through it, sighing with each page turn as if the effort was exhausting. "Has Namie
-chan been spying on me?" Izaya stands back up with the manga in hand.
"No more than you do on a daily basis," she replies, pulling out Izaya's schedule book. "You're meeting a client in a couple hours,"
she says, "Looks pretty important, too."
(I'll reply later! I better go. Night!)
[night! i probably should go too...]
laughs and crosses his arms, releasing a blissful sigh. "Am I rubbing off on Namie-chan?" He raised an eyebrow challengingly.
(Ergh, gotta remember the my tenses)
His laughter dies into a smirk. "Who is it?" He asks, serious for a brief moment.
"Something Italian and illegal that has some business in Japan," Namie replied,
handing Izaya the schedule book.
"And yes, being around you has several mental health risks," she says briskly.
"I see." Izaya replied, stroking his chin mockingly contemplative. "You had better contact the transporter."
"Also," Izaya lowered the booklet to look at his secretary. "Be careful, Namie, or else I might become your god," He smiled.
"..." She pulls up the Yoohoo brower, and begins typing up an email to the transporter.
