Wordpress is a lot more complicated than Typepad after trying to help creative team customize their blog.

I like the reliability of Wordpress, though. It's clean-cut, and it works well

reliability is indeed very important. It's just that for first time bloggers, it is kinda complicated to copy / paste html for all widgets.

I agree. As a total tech dolt, WP is hard for me, but I really do like how it works over all. I still have my main blog on Blogger.

But I might migrate it to WP. My podcast blog is on WP already and I like how it works.

It's funny, but I was on Typepad before WP and found WP easier. The sidebars in Typepad (aka type lists) STILL confuse me.

Agree. I suppose they all have their advantages. See, I also experienced problems trying to configure posting from Nokia mobile on WP.
