normal. 3d gives my headache and its not worth the price
I honestly don't understand 3D outside of a gimmick. And I don't understand the appeal of the gimmick. I mean, I like Disney's 3D movies in
their theme parks. But that's cause it's playing to the gimmick nature. But a feature film???
I did love the movie Avatar in 3D...
3D - does not give me a headache, and I figure why not?
3D! well, depends on the movie
it were easier, and cheaper
(the 3D glasses don't always fit comfortably over my prescription eyewear)
And not every 3Dness is the bomb. But Most of the movies I've seen recently have had a few key moments where 3D made a difference
Avatar did not impress me...maybe if the visual effects were used to tell a quality story and not a twenty dollar nap fast
that should have been titled "Dances With Wolves: In Space"
I didn't see Avatard in the theater, and didn't like it when I watched it at home.
but "How To Train Your Dragon" is, I think, one of the best movies to come out in recent years 3D or otherwise
and in the theater, they used 3D well in places.
I also saw Tangled in 3D.
iwentoseeitinthetheaterbymyself don'tjudgeme
that's a great movie, by the way
I am coming up with a theory at this very moment. The theory is this:
The most memorable 3D moments in these movies are not hardcore action sequences; those parts are too busy, too much going on
to really appreciate all the depth
No, the memorable parts are the quiet moments, where it is emotional and/or atmospheric, where you are sucked into the scene by the events
of the story. and the 3D adds to that in, pulling you in more.
the floating ash rain in Dragon.
The lantern thing in Tangled.
