last week we took a holding deposit on the bike we are selling, to keep it off the market for 4-5 days till the guy could come get it.

we told two other people no, even though they had cash in hand.

the guy finally drove up, changed his mind, and demanded the deposit back.

Do we have to return the deposit? It was specifically to hold the bike.

we have his paypal comment that says it was a deposit on the bike, but thats it.

Im tempted to just escalate it in paypal and let them decide
