does anyone allow their students to text them if they have homework questions? If not, any alternate suggestions?? Block of Skype time?

I do not.. I keep my cell phone private. Students send email with questions or visit the webpage

I'm usually online (plurking!) so have my email open in the evenings - kids often email me with math questions

our district is working on a policy about texting/social networking, etc. they're ok w/county email but not much else

I used to have an AOL screen name I used only for students and would instant message with hw, but now just using district email
