I feel your frustration! Probably ignorance of the value, fear of the unknown, and misinformation about the "bad" stuff out there.

We have laptops we can use but restricted to use them to their fullest potential.... (scratching my head).

we got a laptop cart a few years ago...tech locked them down so tight students could not log in

once they "fixed" that, we still had times no one could log into them

It's a universal problem and shameful. All the money into tech equipment and then block access! Shouldn't we be teaching about the issues?

Our kids are already there whether we are or not

Had a VERY cool day yesterday! Told my kids I was going to make a video with them in it to take to a school board meeting.

and I want to take 100 kids with me to flood the meeting to show the "powers that be" that the KIDS want/DEMAND to be able to use what

out there to help them learn THEIR way! Will create a VERY powerful message the board will HAVE to listen to. Might not change things this

year but there is hope for future classes at Mechanicsburg! Hope I don't get fired!

My idea would be to show them and not TELL them what we can use to help these kids learn.
