has anyone used GoogleSketchUp? Is it best to "teach it" or let students work through it on their own?

I've shown it to them and let them play with it. They figured out how to use the tools quicker than I did!

we did a little, I turned them loose on it, that's how I "teach" new technology a lot anymore.

It's good to show a few basic tools, then assign a task- rather open-ended, and be there to answer questions.
