what "karma" is for? who thinks it makes plurk more interesting? maybe a good idea to put it in all web / web2.0 apps?
Mostly for fun. The more karma you have, the more silly icons and stuff you unlock.

reddit and hacker news also use it to higlihight (and punish) users' behaviour.... but i've never been into it
