Flip Mino HD or a Sony bloggie kung casual stuff lang naman. If you're making a movie then a 3ccd canon
Sounds like you just need a handycam. My recommendations are Samsung, Canon, or Sony ~ all have P35k cams that are HD and Memcard storage.
If you're not really after quality and just a video cam, Island Photo sells this thing they call the VERZIO for about 7k.
Which models among those brands would be good? It's for our business kasi we record events, trainings, etc. a lot for our media library
Any model within the P35k price is fine. They have automatic scene mode which basically takes the stress out of shooting.
Add a CD-R King P800 super-tall tripod and you'll be fine.
I use the Sony CX110; the current model for sale at the Sony Centre is the CX150
You are a Sony boy nga pala
Pero sige, I'll also check the other brands.
Well, Sony is my preference since they have the best video lens for commercial cams. Also they have a high standard for data-storage.
Canon is your next best bet since they're a camera brand, but given the experience with digital capturing, Sony still has the advantage.
Samsung is your Budget choice. I try not to go to Samsung for cams only because they design for women.
The equivalent Samsung to my Sony looks like an egg.
*is browsing Sony and Canon cams*
I was looking at those!
for your use, you can ignore the offers of x10+ digital zoom. Not unless it's a conference in World Trade and you're shooting end to end.
The super-zooms will also be useless past the optical zoom; especially when you're shooting off tripod and chasing the person to video.
Also: though shall NOT use CD-R King SDHC cards on branded cams. ~eth. You will need to either haggle for a larger card as a freebie...
or buy a card from the same store as the cam. This is one department where you cannot afford to go cheap.
Hmm, well no not quite that large. At most we're shooting at a distance the size of a basketball course.
Which of the Sony HD cameras would look good then?
For accessories like bags, straps, or wide-lenses ~ feel free to browse around for discounts and 3rd party options.
If you want compact, the CX150 is the slimmest HD cam in Sony's line.
Technically it's the same as my CX110, only with new features and shit.
kung di naman hardcore use...sa CD R KING XD mura lang
yun sakin la pa 5k
I'm looking at the 35k and under range, as you said, and will review their specs.
Di pwede CDR king, kasi medyo long-term use.
I want the camera to last at LEAST 3 years of constant use.
in fairness some of their stuff last naman ah
Mm, true true. Pero medyo hit and miss kasi diba?
yeah. lol. though for personal uses. parang ok na tong sa cd-r king
No no no.. John, uh G. A Sony won't last you 3 years. It will outlive you.
Yeah, the CD-R King cams are fine for non-business use. But you'll spend just as much buying a new one, and another, and another...
yronhand - When you drop a SONY, YOU get the damage.
because I will port out of no where, catch it if you drop it... and slap you for your negligence.
WHERE THE PAK AR JUU RYT NAO
in my office.
You'll have to step foot in Manila again sometime...
And when you do...
a SONY will be avenged.
flip cams are decent, and have amazing audio pickup.
Yep! Pero the problem is we record for stretches of 4-8 hours sometimes, so a larger cap camera is needed.
For on the run vids though, Flip cams are wonderful
get a larger card. pwede naman eh.
I could - but for using a Flip cam for business use? o:
Parang kulang eh XD Since we'll be recording games and shows on stage o.o;
But I'm not really a video guy so I defer to those in the field.
If you're gonna full cover a day event, you'll need an on-site laptop for data storage.
But if you're gonna be shooting without power for the cam, you'll need the larger batts.
I agree with
randybau...flip mino is the shiznitz!
