her head like it was some sort of a hat.
pokes the pet. "What's that?" he asks.
looks up at him. "I'm not sure. It's cute though." She goes back to her game.
"It is!" He moves so he can peer over Evelin's shoulder to look at the game she was playing.
is playing Super Mario Brothers. She likes order games better.
stares in awe. He did play Mario but since he played the new ones so much, was sort of surprised by the graphics. "That looks really hard.."
shrugs a bit. "It's not to me, but I've played this for a while. Want to try?"
nods enthusiastically. "Which world are you in?"
hands him the controller. "7-2."
Looks at the screen in concentration and starts playing. He makes his way through the level and dies almost iimmediately.
watches as she moves her pet down under her head like a pillow.
Tries very hard to beat the level. But still fails. "Why is this so much harder than the DS version?!"
|"You probably just aren't used to the controller. Need help?
nods slightly, grudgingly accepting the help.
sits up a bit. "When you get to this part of the screen," she says waving her hand to the right, "You press these buttons in sync when the_
enemy is two tiles away from the step." Her hand point close to the two buttons he'll use. "And don't rush so much. You'll lose control_
listens quietly, memorizing the advice given to him. "Oh...so that's how you do it!"
nods. "Be careful around here." She points to the screen again. "It's a little crowded, so you should jump more."
nods, determined. He follows the instructions given to him and was slightly more sucessful! "Hey! That worked!"
smiles. "Yep. Just keep it up like that, you should get though."
smiles and thanks Evelin. He tries that exact point over and over again and finally got it. "Yes!" he fistpumps.
laughs a bit finding his reaction adorable. "Now let's see how far you can get."
"I can go so far, I'll beat the ga-" he dies in the next level already. He pouts and turns back to the game, all attention on Mario.
shakes her head a bit. She goes back to watching the screen quietly.
Continues playing. He's getting used to the game by now and decided to strike up a conversation. "Did you already beat this game?"
nods. "Several times. I like replaying rather good games."
"Super Mario Bros is an awesome game!" He found the game quite addicting.
nods again. "Anyways kid, who are you?" And why was he in her... Eduard's... whatever... house.
blinks. It just occured to him that it was probably quite rude to play a stranger's game. "I'm Sealand! Smallest (unofficial) country_
doesn't find it rude. She offered anyways. She looks at him for a second. "Oh, you are that kid. It's nice to meet you."
smiles and shakes her hand. "It's nice to meet you too, Miss...er..."
smiles back. "Evelin von Bock. Otherwise known as Estonia, but you can just call me Eve."
"Okay, I'm called Peter, too. You have great taste in games, Eve!"
"Thanks. I've got a bunch more games if you would like to see." Okay, they weren't really hers, but no one can say otherwise.
"Oh yes! What kind of games do you even play?"
"Anything really. As long as it's pretty good."
"Can I see them?" he looks up at her, pleading her silently.
nods. She just leans forward and opens the cabinet.
reads every title on the boxes and scans for anything he knows.
probably would think he would know at least one of them. It was kind of a random assortment in there.
