same here. Kids are hoping for snow day or for me to say they can stay home. Snow activities planned at school and they don't want to go

I still have to get gift cards for all of their teachers. I even get cards for the specialists (art, music, computers).

lizbdavis-that's nice of you. I got a few things this year. It's nice to be remembered.

I have been a specialist for a while now and I know what it is like at holiday time. I also know how hard they work.

this is my first Christmas as a specialist- and it was like being a redheaded child at a family reunion... :-(

well, it is true, all the grade levels had secret santas, lunches while we took their lunch duties, kids/parents gave 'em bags of gifts...

blakej that is so sad. In the 5 years I've been a specialist, I've gotten one or two gifts from kids.

Not that they are usually anything to jump up and down about. When I taught 6th grade I got about 25 coffee mugs.

The best gift was when the kids all went in and bought me a lava lamp - I taught science - that was a great one.

blakej I feel the same way! Even the Teacher's Aides (only 2 in the school) leave with big bags (plural) of gifts.
