regulars wish her a happy birthday since they know she won't be there tomorrow.
walks in, sighing. She got to the counter and sat down, almost laying her head on the counter top.
notices Soraya and walks over to her. "Are you alright?"
nods, rubbing her shoulder a bit with half closed eyes. "Drink..."
frowns a bit before getting her one. "Long day?" Or night.
pauses, staring at the counter. "Sure." Grabs the drink with her left hand, even though every other time she's used her right.
leans against the counter noticing the bit of change. Maybe she can see if anything is wrong. "Not a very good answer."
shrugs awkwardly. "Long day then."
shakes her head. "What happened to your hand?" Not that she could expect a response.
looks away. "Nothing..." Takes a long sip.
"Nothing probably means something."
crosses her arms. "I saw that. Let me see."
looks over at her and shakes her head. "Nej."
takes a sip. "Because. It's not yer problem to deal with."
leans over even more unsuccessfully not seeing her arm. "Sure, it may not be, but I rather not have you shrugging this off because of that."
half shrugs again. "Whatever... it's fine, in a few days I'll be normal again."
looks at her sceptically. "You are sure of this how?"
shrugs. "I've been fine all the other times, why would this be different?" Took another drink, not looking at her.
taps the table a bit with one of her fingers. "You never know. What could have been fine a few times and suddenly not. There is always a_
chance something else will happen."
looks down into her drink and nods. "Ja, I guess ye're right..."
knows she is right about that. "So, can I see?"
shakes her head again and just takes a longer drink.
sighs. She wishes the other wasn't so closed off. "You at least take a look at it."
fidgets a little before downing the rest of her drink.
stares at the empty drink. "You're stubborn." Not like she could talk.
nods, pushing the empty glass towards her.
takes the drink filling it again before putting it back down.
barely lets it sit on the counter before picking it up and drinking.
sighs inwardly as she is called over from another costumer. She doesn't even bother saying anything as she walks over to receive an order_
along with a "Happy Birthday."
takes note of this. "It's yer birthday...?"
walks back after giving the man his drink. "Almost. It's tomorrow, but I won't be here."
nods, making note of that. "I see. How old will ye be?"
hums a bit. "A year older than last year. Does it matter?"
shrugs awkwardly again. "Guess not."
nods. "The date is more important than the years anyways. It's lucky thing to have sometimes."
nods. "That's true..." Finishes another glass and pushes it towards her.
refills the drink once more.
hums as she runs her finger around the rim.
looks at her silently for a moment. "When is your birthday?" She mostly just wants to see if she can get any information out of the other.
tilts her head a bit to the side. "So, do you know or are you just not telling me?"
takes a sip. "I don't know..." She mumbles.
takes a moment to make sure she heard right before looking down. She fells like apologizing for asking.
just takes a long sip. This was why she didn't like talking about herself. She felt pathetic.
doesn't think it's pathetic at all. Just... a reminder. "I'm sorry. I guess... not everyone can make a birthday up."
shrugs. "Don't be sorry, it's not yer fault." Sips more of her drink.
nods. "I know, but I was curious... I still am. I guess that's how I grew up."
looks more at her. "Oh? Explain it to me."
stares at her. "How I grew up or how I'm curious?"
leans a bit back. "I was born in Estonia supposedly and then abdonon a few months later. I lived there for a few years near Tallinn before_
I got picked up by a foster family in Finland where I was until about eight or nine before being picked up again and taken to this country_
. I've moved back a forth since then until I stopped here for a while. Basic overview, I guess."
nods. "Wow, pretty chaotic."
nods. "Yeah, but I learn so much that way too. Go to places and get to see what it's like in different areas. I do wish I could have stayed_
around one area for more than two or three years or less."
nods. "Ja, I hear ye... it sucks when it feels like ye're running through cities and countries..." Finishes her drink and leans more
raises an eyebrow. "So you've done the same?"
nods. "Ye could say that..."
tilts her head. "Then where do you come from then?"
"Country of origin at least?"
closes her eyes and pinches her nose. "Denmark is where I've had my earliest memories.."
notices the action while noting that fact. "You sure you're alright?"
nods. "Ja... like I said, I'll be fine..."
frowns. "'Will be' is not the same as 'am,'" Yes, she's pointing out the obvious.
slightly glares at her. "Ye don't think I don't know that?" She sighed and poked at her glass.
isn't going to respond to that. She did want to point it out since she asked about how she was in the present not in the future. She would_
offer the other another glass, but she doesn't really like giving people more than a few drinks unless they ask.
could at this point drink until she passes out. "More..." Pushes the glass towards her.
gets her more. She hopes the other one can somewhat handle her alcohol.
takes a long, long sip of it. Sighing afterwards. She rubbed her shoulder a bit, wincing.
tries again to see if she could figure out what's wrong with Soraya's arm. She's hoping it because of what may had happened the prior night.
moves a little away from her. She didn't like being looked at like she was being examined...
looks away seeing that she is making the other uncomfortable, but what does Soraya expect from a person who is concerned?
doesn't want anyone to be concerned about her, it means she's getting too close to them.
can't help it. She doesn't like seeing others in pain unless they deserve it.
figures she deserved it... she had all the other times before.
looks a bit towards the side. "Why are you always coming here hurt somehow?" Always... twice. Whatever.
shrugs and winces again. "Drinking helps numb the pain?"
sighs; she should have phrased that better. "I mean... you keep getting hurt. I don't expect you to tell me, but I wonder why."
sighs and takes another drink. "If I could stop it, I would..."
sighs and takes another long sip. "Because if I did, I'd be out of a place to stay."
"That's..." She really can't think of a word. Even if she was a villain, it didn't mean she thought that hurting people was entirely right.
finishes her drink but holds onto the empty glass.
just tilts her head. "Whatever is happening to you, I don't think it's right." Yeah, she thinks, that helps a lot.
looks at her, pushing the glass towards her again. "I think it is."
almost doesn't refill it, but at least, it's close enough to asking for now. "Why?"
shrugs a bit. "Like I said, it's not the first time this has happened... after all these years, I've gotten use to it. And if it keeps
happening, then I'm clearly doing something wrong."
doesn't like that answer. "What if you're doing nothing wrong? Do you even have an idea if you're doing anything wrong?"
pauses before frowning and shaking her head.
going to take that as an answer. "Then, why think you are? You can't just think automatically to that. You should find out first."
sighs. "Every time I try to ask... well, it never ends well."
frowns. "Then you should find someone to help you. Maybe you can figure something out."
fidgets a little. "I don't know anyone who could help me..."
pauses a bit before answering in all seriousness, "I would."
looks up at her. "... What?"
repeats herself. "I would help you."
blinks. "Are ye serious?"
nods. "Why wouldn't I be?"
sighs. "I don't know. I've not met anyone before who would even think of helping me."
"Then, I'm not like anyone you've met before." She pauses. "How could no one ever think of helping you?" There is always someone.
shrugs. "I've never been around in one place long enough to get to know someone I guess."
"Well, I guess you have been around long enough here then."
sighs and curses a bit. "Means I'll have to go soon..."
frowns. "It doesn't mean that."
nods. "If someone is willing to help me then I have to leave. Or else chances are they person will be hurt."
disagrees strongly. "It doesn't mean that. I told you I can take care of myself."
nods. "Ja, but..." Shrugs. "It's just easier to move on..."
sighs. "It just is, okay?"
isn't one to take the 'it is what it is' idea from anyone. "Just is? Doesn't sound like a sound idea."
sighs and slumps over the counter. "Whatever..."
isn't liking the other one's attitude at all. She cares, dammit, and it's no reason for leaving.
yawns and closes her eyes. "I should go home..."
tries to calm down a bit. She wasn't going to let her emotions get to her much. She didn't want anything bad to happen. "Then you should."
nods and sits up. She winces as she pulls money out from her wallet and puts it on the counter.
blinks a bit. She would insist on the other keeping it specially after what she found out last night, but she doesn't knowing it might_
either cause her anger to go up more or for her to reveal who she is by accident.
gets up. "Enjoy yer night."
nods while directing her attention somewhere else.
sighs a bit, not exactly wanting to leave just yet it seems.
why she doesn't leave. It's what she wanted to do, right?
didn't really want to leave... she wasn't planning on going home right away. She'd probably sleep on a bench in the park for a while.
looks at the other. "Why aren't... you leaving?" She becomes less angry and more curious luckily. It wasn't her to stay mad long.
sighs. "To be honest, I'm not in the mood to sleep on a park bench right now."
tilts her head wondering if she heard right. "Then what are you in the mood to do?"
sighs. "And you probably don't want to go home."
nods. "Right. Not in the mood to deal with all that..."
. "Would you like to go to my place then?"
blinks at her. "Are ye serious?"
just stares at her. "Yeah." It was asking something really strange.
smiles a bit. "That... that sounds great."
nods. "Wait here then." She leaves only for a moment into the back room to get her things and to tell her boss who is used to Evelin_
leaving for things at this time of night anyways.
smiles more, she never knew someone would be as nice as to let her stay over..
comes back to the front. "Come on," she directs at the other, glad to see her smile. It was a nice change.
nods and follows behind her closely.
takes the corner that leads directly to her apartment while making sure Soraya was only a few steps behind her.
stayed pretty close to her. She was pretty shy when she was out in the open like this.
somewhat surprised at this, but she doesn't say anything about it. She turns again to the front door of the apartment complex opening it_
nods as she quickly walks through. "Tak..."
just nods following the other for a moment before leading up the stairs to the second floor to her apartment. She takes out her key opening_
the door to a pretty well kept place besides a desk, which was normal.
walked in behind her and looked around, keeping quiet.
puts up her coat and purse. "You can sleep wherever. I don't mind." She isn't too tired anyways. Crime messes with sleep patterns.
blinks at her. "Really? Even the bed?"
nods. "Yeah, if you would like."
smiles and nods. "Ja. I'm sick of a couch, a bed might be nice."
"Alright. I do like the couch anyways." She really does too if the blanket cover was any indication.
takes her shoes and coat off then heads to the bed. She could already feel her eyes start to close.
smiles as she watches the other go into the other room. "Night."
collapses into the bed and quickly curls up under the blankets. "Night... "
