found lots of hedgehogs, chanterelles & black trumpets!
We made an appetizer of black trumpets, shallots, red peppers & smoky mozzarella on french bread. Yum!
Also, a second dish of black trumpet mushrooms in a cream sauce over pasta. Delicious!
Mushroom club asked us to join the gourmet culinary subgroup!
Ooohhh, that sounds so GOOD!
I haven't had fresh picked mushrooms since I was a kid. We used to hunt morelles at my uncle's farm.
Morelle season should be coming up in a few months here in CA.
