I really (really) want like a suit vest, but ... I can't even find one like what I like (outside of for $200 on etsy)
I've found vests before at Forever 21! Of course that's going to be lesser quality, and finding something you want there is really hard
Yeah, I mean I'm willing to drop some change on it, but a lot of the stuff I'm finding is not wool
Hmm. My favorite suitvest I found at Goodwill. Second hand stores are great man
We don't have a lot of good options for second hand around here, I'll have to reassess the situation though
it a man's suitvest or was it a lady one?
Itttt was a lady one I think? It's certainly cut to my figure /likes it so much
Yeah, I'mma ... need to probably find ... not sure a lady's M and bring it in probably, I'm between sizes right now, ug
ughhh I hate being between sizes.
Though, in fact, that vest may be a European sizeor something, since it's something like 28 or 36--you know, bigger numbers than American
Yeah, my biggest issue is I'm a 34D w/ a 28" waist, that's so between sizes it's not even funny
and I'm not going to starve myself to get a bittier waist
Oh man, that does sound tough x.x
and yeah, no, no starving.
oh my bad, 34C now, but my point still stands, that's a M(+) rack, but the rest of me is more S(+)
My ass is a reasonably solid 38"ish, which is too large (by sizing/proportion standards) for the waist as well
Yeah, there's a reason I like dresses with free-size hips better than most other styles
Because if I can find one that fits at the top and looks good belted in the middle, bam, don't need to worry about the hips
I mean, don't get me wrong, I like my body, it would just work better if I could fit clothing on it in all oen size
Well. I think the trouble isn't bodies, it's that few clothes-makers *make clothes that fit real bodies*
It's clearly a tailor conspiracy
b/c, tbh, outside of my thighs and the calves a little I feel like my body is a nice proportion
It sounds like a nice proportion--and actually fairly similar to what my friend Brooke has--she too is constantly frustrated by
the ridiculosity of clothing manufacturers and their sizing.
If I dropped 15lbs again I'd be a 'perfect size 4' but ... that's not a weight my body is comfortable at
but instead now I'm a lumpy size 6ish
I literally cannot gain or drop weight. I have tried. The only way I drop weight is starving myself which is a BAD PLAN.
Some size 6s run too small, some run too large and some run just *weird*
hahaha, Yeah. I know this is NOT THE CASE for everyone, but I was literally stuck at 145 for *ages* and then I dieted down to 115
which my body was like LOLNO
and then I bounced to like 128 +/- 2 for months now
Yeah, I eat pretty healthy most of the time, but there've two tiems where I've literally starved myself
(NOT ON PURPOSE--first time my jaw was wired shut and the second was a shitton of stress blahblahblah ANYWAY)
And I dropped about 10lbs both times... and then immediately bounced to 135 exactly. :T
When I could eat again, i mean
SO RAH FOR BEING AT COMFORTABLE BODY WEIGHTS
Yeah, honestly I felt better at a thinner weight. Not like 'i so pretty and thin!!!' just crohn's health
Yeah, it's all about what's best for your overall health--not just what dresses you can fit in
Yup, very true. My doctor says that the lower I keep my BMI (obvs within health range) the better
b/c overweight -> fatty liver deposits -> decreased liver funcationality
(as a note this isn't for everyone, this is a Crohn's side effect)
So my goal is to try to get down lower again for a lot of reasons
Some aesthetic but others just to get my Crohn's back under control again
