blinks, picking up a few pieces of paper on the floor. "...?"
makes a grab at a particularly important piece of paper and sees her. "U-um- I think those are mine..." Doesn't realize he's crumpling his_
report for Literature, which is due today to his very picky professor.
grins a little when she sees him. "You're crumpling that. I hope it's not too important..." She holds out the papers she has.
lets out a small cry and smooths out he paper in his hand as best he can. He takes the papers from her hand gratefully. "Th- Thank you.."
smiles at her as he stands up, all of his things back in his arms where they belong.
a horrible conversationalist but he will try anyway! "Um... S-so where are you headed?"
hums. "Either to find someone, or to work on my sculpture...you?"
looks down at his books. "My first class starts in about an hour, but I like to get there early, so..."
nods, before it actually clicks "Oh. sorry. I shouldn't keep you then...good luck with everthing"
*everything geez I cant spell]
smiles shyly. "Well... I don't mind staying and talking with you for a little bit- Th-that is if you don't need to do anything!"
shrugs "Nah, I'm okay to talk. You sure you won't be late for class?"
nods. "Yes, I'll be fine." He runs out of ideas to talk here- he's not used to new people! "So... where are you from...?"
tilts her head to the side "Country-wise? Or what dorm I'm in..."
why people keep asking her that. She didn't think her accent was that strong.. "Oh, Trinidad...it's an island in the Caribbean"
just curious, being from Tibet and all. He had no idea where she was from- all the Western accents sort of blend together in his mind. "Oh_
really? I'm from Tibet- the plateau in western China?"
knows where it is. "Oooh, yea? I hear it's absolutely gorgeous there!"
nods happily. "Yes! Tibet is truly a beautiful place! I was very happy there, but I'm happy to get an education here, as well! A-although I_
do miss my family and friends..."
gets it "I feel the same way. You get a life for yourself here too though. Do you visit home often?"
shakes his head sadly. "No. I can't afford the trip back home... I haven't gone home since I started school here."
frowns a little "Oh, sorry...but hey, maybe eventually you'll save up enough"
hums "Well...maybe you can get a secret job far from the school? And have them pay you under the table..."
nods, the smile returning to his face. "I'm fairly close now! I wish I could get a job to help- but I'm on a scholarship, so I can't."
