sannakji: I wrote about it..but I guess it's been awhile

it's about a girl with schizophrenia trying to find her family. It's called Placebo 99 and everytime I work on writing or drawing it ..

I hear music. so I sit down with fruity loops and make little thumbnail sketches of the music before I forget it..since I cant write music

or play any instruments.

I am doing it in mostly manga style, but I am playing with some concepts to push my storyline

I am planning on having it all online when it's finished....I'm pretty sure I wont be professionally distributed since my main goal

it to educate people about some of the misinformation about schizophrenia and a few other mental illnesses.

I came up with the idea after living with a japanese exchange student who has the illness

it was kind of sad, yet interesting to see him grapple with reality

my little cousin has schizophrenia and it's hard for him to get a hold of things esp. in school so he's getting help for it.

there's not a bunch of support for people affected right now..though it has gotten better in recent years

i am thankful for and i know some stuff about it since my cousin has it and i have taken medical classes so i know most diseases and how

they're caused and schizophrenia is one of them

yeah, it's kind of messed up because people associate accessory disorders with schizophrenia. things like DID etc.

we should talk or email sometime. I am always interested in hearing other peoples experiences.
