muffinshota: It's an OS like Windows or Mac, only it's command line based (as in you type in commands instead of click on things)

VERY fast and effcient, much more so than Windows or Mac, but also VERY technical.

Though there are some systems like Ubuntu that come set up similar enough to windows that most people can use it just fine.
