continues running about and ducking into small corners to hide from the officers searching for her. She doesn't know if it's safe to return

to the ship and she's worried for the crew's safety.

frowns and looks back, trying to find the source of the noise. Her heart skipped a bit when she saw the familiar uniform of the naval

officers but luckily, they don't seem to recognize her.

peeks out from a corner and spots the back of a familiar head. She sighs in relief and quickly drags Isabella into her corner. "Isa...!"

immediately reaches for the hidden knife she always have with her but then she stops once she realizes to whom that voice belongs to.

"Mari? Why are you here? I've been searching for you for days!"

hugs her first before answering her question. "Desole for worrying you, cherie. They've been hunting me for a while and I couldn't return to

the ship without compromising the crew. Are you alright??"

shakes her head and presses a brief kiss to the other's cheek in relief. "No, not, it's okay... It's just... We're worried."

looks at her with a frown on her face. "I'm okay. ... are you...? Why are they hunting you...?"

kisses her deeply, having missed her very much. "I am fine, they finally found out that I'm a pirate. I wonder who was the traitor..." She_

frowns and darts a look around the alley, keeping a watch for anyone that might wander in.

kisses her back, a smile appearing on her face but is quickly replaced by another frown at the words she just heard.

grabs her hand without any intention of letting it go. "I'll find the traitor for you but..."

taps her heels against the ground, thinking. "We should find you a safe hiding place for now..."

shakes her head, "It's too dangerous to look for a traitor on your own, cherie. It could be one of our suppliers... Let's just find a safe_

nuzzles Isabella and hugs her tight.

hugs her back before pulling away reluctantly. "We should move before the officers come again though..."

agrees and holds Isabella close to her side as they walk out of the alley. "The coast looks clear... Where to, Isa?"

"To a friend's." She beams at her. "Oh and..." She circles the other before stopping right behind her, undoing the hair.

"Maybe they won't recognize you like this!"

blinks in surprise as her hair is untied. "Ah, good idea, Isa~ I didn't think of that!" She shakes her head to let her curls loose.

happy for being helpful. She chuckles and ruffles the other's hair, making it more messy than before. "There, should be safe now."

giggles when her hair is ruffled and smiles. "Shall we go now? I don't want to test out how effective this disguise is."

nods, holding the other's hand tightly as they walked. "Make sure to stay out of trouble while we're not around, okay...?"

to say that it's the exact opposite but she just grins back at her. "Of course, amor~"

chuckles lightly, her eyes scanning her surroundings cautiously.

follow Isabella to wherver the hiding spot is. She also keeps a lookout, the air is tense.

trying her best to keep an innocent face. She peered through the window into the inside of an inn before going into it.

had odd jobs everywhere before she finally met Marianne. She beams a smile at the owner and starts approaching him.

squeezes Marianne's hand lightly to assure her that everything will be okay before starting to talk in rapid Spanish to the owner.

listens idly, she could pick out a few words that sounded like French. She continues watching the door and the windows.

wanders over to the window and casually surveys the outside. The coast is clear, for the moment.

nods and her face brightens when the old man agrees to do what she asked him for. "Mari, Mari!" She hugs her from behind.

"Listen, Abuelo agrees to help us~!"

"Eh~? Oh! That's good!" She turns around and returns the hug, smiling. "Where do I stay then..?

winks at her playfully then beamed another grateful smile at the old man before pulling the other to the stair. "I'll show you~!"

lets herself be led to the stairs. "What is it~?"

"Your room, silly!" She looks around, walking through the dark hallway until they stopped in front of the last door.

"Oh, and Abuelo says that there will be no fee if you help him here, so..."

"Help him with...? Cleaning?" She pushes open the door and peeks in.

pushes her inside when the door's opened. "Cleaning, the houseworks... He's quite old already and his body hasn't been doing well lately..."

that it is a fair trade and agrees. "Oui, I will help~ I would have paid him for the stay anyway!" She sits on the bed and pats it, inviting

Isabella to sit with her.

smiles at her and sits down on the bed, listening to the creaking sound it made. "... this bed is old." She chuckles and pulls Mari close.

"You should still stay careful... and... don't ever neglect your health while I'm away."

pulls her into a warm hug and kisses her cheek. "D'accord~ You take care of yourself and the crew, oui?"

nods. She's determined to find whoever the traitor is and she'll not disappoint Mari. "I will! And when I come back..."

smiles and continues embracing her. She nuzzles the crook of Isabella's neck. "...we'll have some fun in my cabin, hmm?"

lets a giggle to slip out from her mouth and looks at her curiously, wondering what this fun is. "Si...? Fun?"
