looks around for the treasure and stares at her map. If she's right then it should not be too far from where they landed...
follows behind, armed just in case someone attacks them. He looks around the island, which seems to be deserted.
Isabella, "Can you tell where the treasure is, cherie?" She keeps a watch on their surroundings as well, one hand ready on her sword.
nods, pointing to the edge of the forest. "Should be around there... Be careful though. We don't know what the island is hiding."
takes out his pistol, just in case something attacks and starts walking in the direction of the treasure.
nods in reply and walks in front of Gilbert, hacking away some foliage with a dagger. "There might be traps set somewhere... Be careful."
slowly follows them, occasionally throwing a glance back at their ship. She doesn't want anything to go wrong here. "Just a bit more..."
keeps a wary lookout for anything that might jump out at them from the forest. Though it all seems rather calm.
spots the remnants of a sprung trap and frowns, "...it seems like people have been this way before..."
eyes the trap and then to where the treasure is supposed to be. "Hey--" Something's odd there. "Mari, I think you're right..."
frowns as well, scanning the area. "Someone beat us to it...?" He suggests.
grits her teeth, she thinks she knows who might have beaten them to it. "Merde! That rosbif!" She storms angrily over to where the treasure_
supposed to be and picks up the note lying there. She reads it and tosses it away, lips folded into a thin line. "...this is my fault, I_
showed the map to a man who said he could decipher it. He told me he couldn't. I should have known, all Englishmen are liars."
watches as Marianne stormed angrily to where the treasure is supposed to be, picking the thrown paper and reads it.
frowns, her eyes narrowing dangerously. "... that's really mean if him." She moves closer to Marianne, giving her a pat.
"It's okay, amor. We'll find that bastard..."
deepens his frown. He's never seen the other two this angry, though he's rather disappointed and angry as well. Considering he was the one_
who got hold of the map in the first place.
turns to Gilbert, "I'm really sorry, it was my fault... If we ever see him again..." Her face hardens and her hand tightens around her_
bows in apology as well. "It's not just Mari's fault. It's mine also... if only I can decipher this map sooner..."
sighs and narrows his eyes. "It's okay. Though I'd like to know who this person who took the treasure is..."
describes the man, "He was about nay high, blond, and he had the most ridiculously large eyebrows ever. Oh, green eyes as well. He was_
definitely an Englishman," she nods, having heard his accent.
tries to imagine it but she's stuck at the ridiculously large eyebrows part. She puffs her cheek angrily.
"He'll regret ever doing this to us."
memorises this description. "Wonder how long ago he found this... if it isn't too long ago we might still be able to find him..."
tries to think back, "It was only a few days ago... He might return to the same bar! Or.. if we move fast enough, we could catch up to his_
ship on the way to the nearest town. He surely wouldn't move that far with so much treasure on board."
"A few days ago...?" She tilts her head, looking around for any other clue. "The nearest town here would be where we come from.
I will ask around the harbour once we get back."
frowns and starts walking back to the ship. "Let's go then. There's no time to waste!"
agrees and sets off at a brisk walk back. She'd told the crew to be prepared for a hasty getaway, so they could set off fast.
runs off behind them. She makes sure there's nothing left before finally boarding the ship, ready to give them directions.
