looks away slowly. He thinks she would prefer if he pretended he did not see that.

looks around and notices him, she blushes. How embarrassing

catches her looking at him and gives her a small wave.

redder now. So he saw. "I am just fine..."

check her over just in case. "Are you certain. You look exhausted."

nods. "I am just thinking.."

not sure if it could be just that. She didn't seem to be simply distracted. "Why not take a short break?"

pauses. She could get some snacks out of the vending machine... "You are...Li?"

nods once. So she knew his name. "Yes. Um you would be? He might have seen her before but he never caught her name."

reaches out to shake his hand. "Victoria. I am relatively new here."

takes her hand and gives it a shake. "A pleasure."

shakes it firmly. She was the only female guard at the moment, so it should be easy to remember her. "Pleasure is mine. Sorry to worry you."

she has a good grip. At least better than him, he looks at his own hand for a moment. "Well it could not be helped. Come, I can accompany

you to the break room."

smiles a bit at that. "Okay... Thanks."

holds out his hand but then begins to pull it back. "You probably know the way."

shakes her head. "Not from this area."

her one nod in understanding. "Come with me then." He will show her the way.

appreciates it. "Thank you again..."

begins to lead the way now. "Its the least I could do."

he's a nice boy. Didn't look much older than herself. "Have you worked here long?"

thinking they were around the same age. "Well, not long. I suppose I was the new guy before you came along. In your case you are the new

girl."

nods. "I am...I heard we just got a new cook so I suppose I am not so new anymore."

agrees. "I think he is improving it."

shudders. "Maybe we don't want to know."

nods once, perhaps she was right. "Well its not deadly..."

nods. "Still wouldn't wanna eat it."

it is bad enough to look at it. "I will agree with you on that." Finally they get to the break room. He opens the door for her.

thanks him and steps inside. She eyes the vending machine. "Want something?"

raises his hand a little. "I couldn't accept that."

smiles a bit. "It is no trouble.

knows it isn't much but he could get himself something. Finally he gives her a nod. "Very well."

grabs him a bag of chips and gets one for herself too. "Here~"

takes the chips. "Thanks. You really didn't have to."

smiles cheerfully at him. "Nah, you remind me of someone I like giving presents to." With those eyebrows.

opens the bag of chips. "Is that so? I couldn't imagine who."

opens hers too. "Hehe. Secret."

won't pry. He gives her a nod as he starts to eat the chips.

gnaws on her chips, thinking. "Are there any problem inmates in here I should keep my eye on?"

knows of one at least. He nods once. "There is a young woman here who you may want to stay far from. At least her cell."

tilts her head. "I'm afraid I probably won't be able to avoid that being the only female guard. Who is it?"

meant she should not stay needlessly close to her. "At the moment it seems... she may be loose."

freezes. "Loose?"

nods once. "Last I heard at least."

suddenly doesn't feel as safe. "Her name is?"

did not tell her that yet he realizes. "Right. Let me see it was Natalya."

takes a mental note of that. "Natalya...ahh...I got it."

nods once at her. He hopes she stays safe. "Just be careful but I would guess you know that already."

nods. "Of course, You as well."
