wandering the market as well, a hood pulled up over her head, looking for fresh fruit.
finally finds a wine he deems worthy of spending his last bit of money on and walks towards the stall, accidentally bumping into a
stumbles a bit, accidentally grabbing onto the man's clothes to keep her on foot. She flushes, quickly letting go of him and
mumbling an apology. .///.
scratches the back of his head, a bit embarrassed that he bumped into her. "Non, non it's my fault. Are you alright?"
straightens herself again, looking up at him once she heard the voice, knowing it wasn't one of her old crew. "Y-yes, sorry I was
smiled calmly at her. "Don't worry about it, I'm lucky to have run into such a pretty girl ."~
blushes a bit at that, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "O-oh.. uhm.." >///<
grasped one of her hands, still smiling. "You must let me make-up for my rudeness, mademoiselle."
blush remained on her cheeks, almost pulling her hand away. "...m-make it up to me? Oh no, I-I am sure that is uneccessary..."
pulled her hand to give it a kiss on the back before letting it go. "Non, I insist."
fidgets a little, pulling her hand back in embarrassment. "B-but it was partially my fault..."
shook his head. "It is entirely my fault, I'm afraid my mind wasn't in the right place.~" He referred to the pursuit of wine, of course. Not
other things he usually had on his mind.
blinks at this, flushing a little still but catching sight of the wine bottle. "A-ah...the pursuit of spirits, sir?"
grinned. "I assume you saw the bottle. Oui, I spent my last coins on this bottle."
blinks at this. "Your last coins? O-oh dear sir..."
shrugged. "Lady Luck shines upon the French. I managed to land a job not too long ago."
smiles a little. "Ah, that is good then... and is that where you are from? France?" She had never made it there, but she had heard lovely
smiled back at her smile. "Oui, I hail from France. A nice place... much better than dreary England. And where do you come from,
smiles softly, wondering how he and the other gent she ahd met would get along. "O-oh, I am from Japan." she answers, having
forgotten she wasn't wearing her kimono anymore.
tilted his head curiously. "I had thought that you came from the far east, but I didn't think that far. I admit I have never met someone
from Japan, though I suppose I have now." He chuckled, looking at her.
smiels shyly. "Y-yes well, it is nice to have met you then.."
blinks. "I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself. I'm Francis Bonnefoy, and what may I call you?"
"A-ah....just Lily is fine..." she answers, coming u with a fake name in case any of her old crew were around to hear.
"Hm, Lily... You seemed like a flower kind of girl but I never thought it would be that. Ah well. What brings you to the market?"
smiles a little, motioning to the stand they were beside. "I just... haven't had fresh fruit in a while.."
...normally he would offer to pay for it, to make up for his rudeness, but alas he had no money. Instead... "Would you like to partake in a
bit of this wine with me?"
flushes a little, but rememebrs to pay for her goods now anyways, and does so. "O-oh sir, that is okay, you rather do not need
to make anything up to me..." she declines shyly.
"A shame, I was hoping to share it with good company. If you insist though..."
flusters a little.. it did sound nice, but she didn't want to impose on this man, just for bumping into him accidentally. "I-I am sure you
have plenty good company to share it with...?"
waved his hand a little. "To be honest, the only person I'm acquainted with here is my cousin, and she is rather busy. I would be happy to
share this wine with you, even that weren't the case."
fidgets a little. "O-oh...w-well it might be nice, if you really do not mind..." >//~//<
grinned and motioned for her to follow him. "Come on, we should go somewhere quieter for this."
hesitantly follows after him, nodding. "A-ah, okay..."
led them to a quiet place by the docks, nicer than most of the other parts. He took off his jacket and set it beside him. "I would hate for
the docks to dirty your clothes, you can sit on my jacket if you would like."
flushes a little. It had been a while since being with a gentleman like this. "O-oh, thank you sir..."
"No problem at all." He took out two amazingly clean wine glasses from his bag and poured a bit of wine into each, giving her one glass.
blinks at the glasses, figuring he must be the type to always be prepared. She takes the glass, thanking him softly.
smiled at her before raising the glass. "To new acquaintances?"
smiles a little, raising her glass to his. "To new aquaintances," she agrees.
took a good sized sip of his wine. "Delicious. Not as good as the stuff back home but the finest here."
sips at her wine like a delicate lady. "Ah, the wine back in France? I have heard they're quite good.."
nodded and took another sip. "It is, it is. How does this compare to the... sake? of your land?"
hums softly, sipping again to determine her thought of it. "Sake is very different... it doesn't have the same tang as western wines do.."
"I imagine it wouldn't. Do you recommend it though?"
smiles a little. "Oh yes, I quite enjoy sake. If I had some, I would share with you."
"Perhaps I'll come across some in my travels then. It would be nice to sample the great spirits of the world before I die."
hums softly, and nods. "Planning to do quite a bit of travelling then?" she smiles.
nodded, taking another sip. "Life is too short not to, in my opinion."
nods. "That is true. Seeing the world is quite a thrill.."
"It is. I feel bad for those who are forever tied to their lands. There's so much more to see in the world."
nods, silently contemplating the fact her travelling days were likely over. "It is true... you are a traveller yourself then, I assume?"
took another sip of his wine. "One could say that... but I'm more of a... wanted person? For my safety I left Europe, not that there was
much for me there anyway."
blinks at that, looking up at him. A criminal? Having been on a merchant ship for many years taught her to be wary. "W-wanted?"
"Don't be concerned... I just slept with one too many nobleman's daughters. Nothing bad, they just weren't too pleased with me."
nods a little. "O-oh, I see..."
"I'm a perfect gentleman though, I assure you. I won't make any unwanted moves. They had all wanted it after all."
flushes a little, after all he had been nothing but nice to her so far. "O-oh....so you are quite popular with ladies then, I assume?"
"The ladies and the men, I suppose. It's just that some ladies are more... obvious with their interest." He snorted as he remembered one
that practically dressed like a harlot.
arches a brow at this. "...o-oh my..."
