Don't all students avoid homework?

I guess so. I like it when I'm into it, but I've lost interest in this topic.

What is the topic?

I'm learning a visual programming language called StarLogoTNG.

Isn't it Alice, Scratch, etc? Maybe programming isn't your thing. Maybe too linear/methodical for your style of thinking, so it's boring.

I've used Scratch and Alice, this is more complex and the course itself isn't very dynamic, so I'm losing interest.

It consists of an assignment with directions and then writing about it in a forum. I don't need a course for that.

I think this would be fun if I were more in to it. I think it is partially the structure of the course. It doesn't feel very course like.

I've never really taken a great Online course. Have you? What do you think are the components of a great Online course experience?

It would be nice if there were a face to face component for this course. I think it would also be good if there were some group projects.
