that's fine, Lily - being late is ok - I am ranting at the people who looked outside and called work saying they couldn't make it in

maybe I shouldn't have used the phrase "on time" in the header - I should have stated "got to work"

I have friends who now refuse to leave the house as there is snow outside!!!

I agree - I have friends who won't meet up because there is snow!! Have one friend who's been housebound since the first snowflake fell!!!

Well that's just daft

Used to get that when I did home care, I ended up driving some of the other carers to clients because they refused to drive in the snow

Hell if you have a client that is housebound and DEPENDANT on you, you make a bloody effort :|

when I was a kid- ie, under 9 years old, we had to walk to school in snow deeper than this. Now, adults refuse to move in it!

there is some hope - Lily's husband is a very good example of a true Brit. Polite, intelligent, hard working.
