he must get cold during the wintertime, then.
the draft! He tends to opt for trousers in the winter though, keeping kilts for special occassions.

what kind of special occasions those would be.
weddings, funerals, St Andrew's Day... ceilidhs and christmas. Don't forget burns night! These all require a kilt...as do stagnights.
