just sitting in his den, reading quietly. With a little quirk of his eyebrow he gets to his feet, "Who could that be..."
He murmurs, before answering the door. "Eh? hello Japan! What an unexpected surprise."
He spoke up politely, standing aside to allow the asian to enter.
bows quickly, clearly flustered.
"A-ah, Canada-san, thak you very much."
steps in and hurriedly takes his shoes off, forgetting Western customs. He stands in the doorway awkwardly, not sure what to do now.
"What brings you here today?" He asked curiously, noting the rather awkward looking stance the man had taken by
the door. "Please have a seat in the living room, eh?"
bows again, flushing in slight embarassment.
"...I...I was wondering if Canada-san m-might be willing...to...to talk to me...about something...'
Tilting his head with concern, Matthew took a seat on the couch next to Japan. "Of course I would be willing to, what is it? I
hope everything is alright, eh."
folds his hands neatly in his lap and stares down at the ground, his face flushing an even darker shade of red.
"D-do....ah, does Canada-san remember what we talked about...at...that time...?"
to think for a moment, but then nods with a small incline of his head. "Yes I do, is it about... Is it something similar to that?" He
asked, wondering if something happened between Kiku and the other Asian.
nods quickly, the movement almost dizzying with how hard he is blushing.
"I...he...the other day, I was...sick. Otouto came to visit me, and we were...discussing things, but..."
"...Niisan was there. He overheard...everything." He whispers miserably, unable to look the other in the eye.
Looks a little shocked and then a great deal more concerned, "E-eh I'm so sorry!! H-how did he take learning all that?"
Not to mention, Matthew was concerned about how the event had effected Japan.
"I...I don't...he left...I only realized he had been there afterwards, and I have not seen him since. I...I do not know what to do..."
Reaches over and puts a hand on Japan's shoulder comfortingly, "Oh I'm so sorry
eh... Perhaps you should try talking to him...? Just so you can find out...?"
"I...no. No, I definitely cannot. What could I possibly say?'
"Uh... Well that I'm not sure... But..." He shakes his head a little, "If he knows how you feel, it would be nice for you to know
"B-but I...I cannot...I cannot stand to see...THAT look on his face again..."
Looks rather sympathetic, "It might be hard but... Knowing might be worth it..." He mumbled, knowing
it was true, though in Japan's position he knew he might feel the same...
"I...I cannot see that look o his face again, though..."
He finally looks up, though he does not meet Canada's eyes.
"...my chance came and went...long before you were even born..." He says quietly, solemnly.
rather bad for Kiku, "Ah... Are you sure...? If it's not too rude of me to ask." He mumbles,
feeling perhaps that much younger again, and perhaps as it hasn't been his place.
"W-well....I....what does Canada-san think?"
He looks up at Canada imploringly.
"W-well... I don't know what I would do for certain in your situation... Well... Perhaps I wouldn't say anything to be honest... But
eventually you are going to have to talk to him again, and while you could pretend nothing happened... I think it might hurt more to not
know and act like everything is alright rather than to talk about it at least and gain some prospective on the matter..."
Matthew responded carefully, hoping he made enough sense to the poor man.
nodded his head in understanding, though he actually looked more miserable than before.
"...Canada-san is right, of course," He said quietly. "But I...cannot bear to see rejection in his eyes. I could not possibly broach the
sighs a little, as it's such a difficult situation, "Well... Hmm..." He mumbled, wanting to help his friend, but it was hard to avoid the
chance of Japan having to deal with rejection either way...
shakes his head, trying to forget about it all.
"Regardless...how is Canada-san? If you do not mind me asking...how did it go with your most important person?"
Blinking a moment later, he tilts his head slightly, "E-eh? Oh!" He blushed a little, "Well enough, I suppose." The Canadian responded,
thinking back to the rather chaotic turn of events on Thanksgiving...
bows politely. "I am glad that things have gone well for Canada-san, in that case."
"Th-thank you for your concern, eh." He responded, smiling a little. He felt rather lucky of late, especially considering
how things could have gone. But if only the Canadian could think of a way to help Kiku with his own matter of the heart...
Kiku smiled politely at the Canadian. He did not want to burden the kind Westerner with his troubles, especially if there was nothing to be
Matthew slowly glanced around the room, "What if you called him on the phone, eh...? You wouldn't
have to see, but you could still at least speak to him and see how things are now...."
this over for a moment."Hmm...t-that is a very good idea Canada-san. I...I think I will do that."
He stands up and immediately bows. "Thank you very much, Canada-san!" He says, face flushing happily.
Surprised by the sudden movement, Matthew shakes his head a little and smiles in return,
"Think nothing of it Japan, I'm glad that I was able to help."
