chokes back sobs a little. "H-He's always... happier... with y-you... Always..."

furrows his brows in consternation.

"That...cannot be possible, Yong Soo. I...I believe you are mistaken..."

lets a sob escape his throat, tears streaming down his eyes. "H-How c-can you not notice-? Y-You're the reason... the reason why I..."

unconsciously lets his expression soften for a moment, gently bringing his free hand to wipe away his brother's tears.

sniffs and murmurs. "Why I... c-can never get him to... Y-You know.... Love me... back." Raises a trembling sleeve to push his brother's

hand away and wipes his face with his own sleeve.

allows his hand to be pushed away, hurt flashing in his eyes before his expression hardens once more.

abruptly lets go of his brother's hand and stands up, turning away.

"You are foolish, Yong Soo. He...does not look at any of us differently."

"...me least of all.." He whispers to himself.

swallows back sobs long enough to turn and say with a trembling voice, "If both of us were hurt... wh-which do you think he'd go to first?"

"A-Answer me that. Honestly."

scoffed.

"Yong Soo, Niisan really does care about you, and you're a fool if you can't see that."

He shoulders shook with repressed sobs, but he managed to control himself.

"...he would never come for me."

starts to walk out of the room.

until he hears creaking and footsteps. He walks swiftly back the way he came, setting the dish down on the first appropriates surface he

passes. But the door might be heard closing...

"Yong Soo...did you hear that? S-someone was here-!"

sniffles once and gets up, slowly walking over to Kiku. "...Wasn't it hyung or something?" He does little to hide the bitter tone in his

voice.

furrows his brow in irritation.

"There is no way, he wouldn't..."

finally enters the hall, and sees the book right there.

"........h...he...m-must have heard...."

".....e-everything..." He says, starting to shake slightly.

"'He would never come for me', huh?"

purses his lips a bit, trying to hide the trembling. "You... you should go thank him, Kiku." His voice is monotone in an attempt to keep it

level.

shakes his head, taking a step backwards in shock.

"N-no...he...he wasn't supposed to...h-he'll never forgive me..."
