It would make an awful lot of pie! Maybe a pie and some kind of bread. Or I could roast pieces and do a savory kind of thing.

Toasted pumpkin seeds!

scrape it out, bake some pumpkin pie or bread, then just freeze the rest - it keeps really well (same with squash or zucchini).

and of course, toast the seeds!

Oh! Right. I have to add a small pumpkin for my own use!

As much as I love pumpkin pie, I have never actually cooked anything with a fresh pumpkin. How do you do it?
