I have quietly admitted to close family that I think being a working mom has helped me appreciate my son more.

not that I wouldn't love him if I didn't work, but I think it helps me be more patient and appreciative of the small things.

the other day, he and I spent close to an hour snuggling & talking on my bed, while we watched his cartoons.

yes, the happy greeting rocks. And I find I'm more eager to actually 'play' after work. (Unless I'm sick. Then all bets are off.)

when I got home yesterday, I wanted to play with him, but felt horrid. I made him go pick some books, so we cuddled and read for a bit.
