checked. he took a few steps towards the door to his room. He walked slowly down the empty hallway. There had to be a way out somewhere...

Mei walked down the hall while checking her patient list. She hadn't heard any of the voices today so she'd gotten plenty of work done.

continued along down the hallway. he spotted someone who seemed to know the building enough. "Hey, do ya know the way out of here?" He

asked the girl who was now in front of him. The sooner he was out of here and back home, the better.

Mei looked up from her list to see her patient with the memory problem in front of her. "Ah. Hello Sadiq. Do you remember yesterday?"

"I..." He scratched the back of his head. "No, I don't... Wait. Who are ya, and how do ya know my name?" He was too confused to realize

what was going on.

Mei sighed. "Well no improvement there.." She scribbled something down on her list then answered his question. "You're in the hospital

because of your memory problem."

stayed silent. "I'm leaving." He started walking down the hallway, the door out had to be somewhere. He'd remember everything soon enough

Who cared what she thought. He'd make it out, and he'd never need to deal with her again.

Mei grabbed his arm. "We've been over this many times, you don't leave until you can remember everything again."

"You can't stop me. So what if I can't remember? I don't have to be stuck in a damn hospital." He shrugged her off, and kept on walking.

"Yes you do. You can't get the same medication or treatment at home." She grabbed his arm again and gripped it hard.

stays silent, maybe a little too silent, before replying. "Fine, but you better help me get them back." He really wanted to remember, badly.

Mei nodded and started leading him back to his room. "That is why we are. To help with your mental problems."

lead back to the room that he left. How am I supposed to remember them though? He scratched the back of his head.

Mei let go of his arm once they got there and took out a picture of him and one of his friends. "Who is this in the picture with you?"

stares at the picture, taking it in his hands. He felt as if the person was familiar, but... "I... I don't know." He didn't remember meeting

them. All of this was too frustrating, and confusing.

Mei just nodded and scribbled something on the paper on her clipboard. "You may keep that since it was from your house."

"... Can I tape it on the wall or something? Maybe it'll help me remember tomorrow." He smiled, looking around the room for a good place to

stick it up.

Mei smiled and nodded at him. "If you truly think it'll help then it is encouraged that you stick it up."

"I need tape then, I can put it right on that wall." He pointed to his left, seemingly excited about the idea. He'd get his memories back!

Mei smiled and pulled a roll of tape out of her pocket. "Knock yourself out."

Stuck the photo of the friend on the wall. He was way too excited over something this simple, especially if he was only going to be knocked

down the next day. "What's there to do around here?"

"Well, the common room has plenty of activities for you to do. And you are allowed to visit some other patients with permission."

hadn't even thought of the other patients. "There isn't people that are gonna kill me here, are there?" He laughed it off. "Common room

sounds good to me."

"Well, there are. But they are all not allowed to leave their rooms."

"That must make your job a lot harder. At least I'm easy to take care of, and nice looking~" He winked, before walking to the door.

Mei blushed slightly and giggled. "Many people make my job a lot easier here. Especially the ones who are nearly stable."

Nearly stable... he could consider himself to be that, he supposed. "Hey... how long have I been here?" He asked.

Mei shrugged. "I'm not sure, a few weeks I'm sure."

[Oh whoops I was gonna say a few months /fail]

"Thanks nurse... I never got your name, did I? I mean, you know mine, it's only fair." He smiled. "You can tell me while you take me to the

common area, or whatever you called it."

[Pff. Thats fine too~]

Mei smiled at him and started walking to the common room. "My name is Mei. I can write it down so remember if you like."

"That... sounds good. Write it down, please." He didn't have the foresight for things like that himself, so it was good that she suggested

it. He followed her until they reached the common room.

Mei nodded and opened the door to the common room. She then tore of a piece of paper from her clipboard and scribbled her name

on it. "Here. Now you'll know someones name when you wake up tomorrow."

stuck the piece of paper in his pocket. Perfect, even if he didn't remember her tomorrow, it was good insurance. "So... what exactly do I do

now that I'm here?" He saw a variety of patients doing things, but he wasn't exactly sure about himself.

"Well, you could read, draw, talk to someone or start up a game. There is also a tv." She pointed to an area where a few patients were

lingering about.

"Alright... maybe I'll just read a good book. I bet you need to go check up on other patients."

Mei smiled and nodded. "That I do. I'll check up on you tomorrow though, okay?"

smiled. "Sounds like a plan, Mei. I'll see you tomorrow." That was an important promise, especially for somebody like Sadiq. The promise to

see someone, someone like him, maybe it would help remember. He walked off into the room, picking up a book and sitting down on a chair.

Tomorrow would prove to be interesting

Mei smiled at him and waved, exiting the common room. She tried to help all her patients as much as she could, even if the voices

tried to interrupt that.
