most of the daily emails talk a lot about how to prosper

use certain verses to pray to God, and because God bless that way, God 'should' bless us too

But God bless us in His ways, and not necessary our ways

he also seldom talks about suffering etc

anyway, it was just my impression

I knew too little about him, so I decided to drop it

but if you think he is a reliable source, then I might reconsider again

sxt: I've not heard him preach about prosperity. but I've heard others preach about it.

The thing is, may be hard to believe or grasp, but many in the church these days, don't understand the prosperity God has for us.

it's not just financially, but as a whole. Spiritually, mentally, physically, all of that.

I'm not sure what He talked about, but I also understand what you mean, some do go a bit overboard, and it can weird.

just know that we also have the Holy Spirit in us, so we don't have to take everything a pastor or a minister says.

always discern with the Holy Spirit, and take everything to God.

I've found his message lately to have insightful revelations.

Maybe we can ask fen and CY and see what they think? The New Creation Church is in Singapore after all.

I do also like his messages, I simply want to make sure that it's a good source!

Actually I visited his church once (with Yufen) this past July. The sermon seemed to be ok but I felt a bit uncomfortable with this pastor.

For sure he is very charismatic--good looking, fashionable, and more importantly, he emphasizes a lot about prospect and rest.

I can totally see how he can charm (upper) middle class Singaporeans. However, I just couldn't get used to it.

Maybe I am too narrow-minded. After all, he didn't teach anything wrong explicitly...
