HELP. I am having network problems with my TiVo. It's hard wired and everything has worked for years....But reset it and tweaks by comcast.

have caused it not to show up on my router's attached devices. I thought it was the CAT5 but both sides light up... I suppose I should test

Ok.. disconnected from wifi and plugged it directly into laptop and it works. NOT the cable.

so that means if it is not connecting to router, the ethernet/usb adapter is probably shot.

but the indicator lights come on... does the fact that they come on evidence connection on both ends or merely that it is powered via usb?

Ok... I have more computer stuff laying about. Fortunately I did have a second USB/Ethernet adapter. PRESTO!!!!
