Be careful who you sell your iphone to. Your info can still be accessible after a factory restore.

vrsandersjr : If you perform a DD wipe of the user partition, and do a complete wipe, then install pwned, you're fine.

True but most people can't/won't and think a factory reset will be fine.
martinbogo
Well, depends on how you do the reset.
martinbogo

But you're right. The Naive "restore" reset is bad

I plan on selling my iPhone, cracked and pwned on eBay once the new phones are properly announced
martinbogo

Although I will NOT purchase one until Pumpkin, Netkas, and others have verified the unlock/jailbreak
martinbogo

Since I -refuse- to activate my phone on AT&T's service plan
martinbogo

Although I will use my current AT*T chip

I don't own an iPhone and won't until they open it up. The 3g iPhone sounds like it's getting better.

I may just keep my original iPhone even after purchasing a new one. Perhaps use it as a second a phone. Will miss jailbreaking
martinbogo
JAG, we've already figured out how to jailbreak the 2.0 firmware. Jailbreaking isn't the issue
martinbogo
As long as the SDK is crippled, jailbreaking will be needed.

And besides ,, summerboard still kicks ROYAL ASS over springboard. I like my customizations.
