I wanted to ask you, since you have both, should I get my son the xbox 360 or the ps3? I think he'd prefer the xbox.

agrees on the consoles, 360 has the most variety and back catalog, though new stuff mostly comes out for all 3 platforms.

Mrs Groovy, I prefer the PS3 personally, but objectively would have to agree with Lisana and Jevvim.

The 360 has more games (including older, 'Greatest Hits' titles) and is a bit cheaper

But if he's going to play online (I forget how old he is) that's gonna cost you another $50/year

If he's under 14 or 15 I'm not sure you'd want him online anyway...the community is pretty horrible...and all-voice

So lots of vocal hate speech and swearing

Make sure you read the ESRB rating on the boxes!!! Some of the 360 games are very much intended for adults

(Or at least, those of us who try to pass ourselves off as adults)
