I've never used the has before - it makes me type in 3rd person.

Hi bleckley! I also have issues w/ 3rd person. I'm curious to see the answers others give. I have NO FACTUAL KNOWLEDGE about this, but

I would imagine that classroom management would probably be touched on for a long-term sub.

Why?

How will you adjust your style with that of the teacher whom you're replacing? Should you? Do you feel comfortable teaching from someone...

else's lesson plans? How will you communicate with the teacher who's out? (assuming it's a leave).

Well, I did end up getting the job, in a sort of round-a-bout way. So - hooray!

Oh...and what did they ask.

Well, they hired someone else first, but they didn't work out. So I was their next choice.

But I started Thursday.

mindelei: The question I stumbled on: "What do you bring to the language arts department," which was tough b/c I didn't know what they had.

mindelei: but I don't think they cared about if they had "it" already or not.

mindelei: How would your coworkers describe you; how would you deal with x classroom management situation; how do you lesson plan;

Well I'm certainly glad that the other person didn't work out! Very interesting questions though.

JackieB: We'll see. It lasts until the end of the year, and rumor has it that one of the LA teachers is retiring at the end of this year.

JackieB: But the economy could be a factor too.
