LOL. Maybe cos they counted by the events? Like the 1st nano event was in 1999, 2nd in 2000, and so on until the 10th event this year.

1999 = 1, 2000 - 2, 2001 = 3, 2002 = 4, 2003 = 5, 2004 = 6, 2005 = 7, 2006 = 8, 2007 = 9, 2008 = 10.
