[Office] *Gilbert is doing what he usually does at work - nothing. Despite being the Janitor, he didn't really spend his time cleaning, and
at that moment in time, he couldn't really clean, being drunk out of his wits and only standing up because he was leaning on his mop.
So far no one had called attention to him though*
frowned as he crossed the corridor and saw the janitor - his brother - snoring rather loudly as he leaned onto his mop. He decided to call
out to him. "Gilbert."
Gilbert jerked at hearing his name, slowly opening his eyes and blinking at the wall opposite to him. "Bwuh?"
frowns more, his look says "not amused". "Gilbert, you were sleeping. On your job."
"...yur observan'." Gilbert slurred, smirking widely at his brother.
makes a face as he smells the remainder of the alcohol. "You're drunk."
Gilbert blinked, then tried to think of something witty to say that would say that no, he is not drunk! "...mmnphwup...." He mumbled.
sighes exasperated. "Nii-san, really... pull yourself together. Get yourself a coffee or something and at least pretend to be awake."
"Why pretend?" Gilbert slurred, "Everyone knows I dun work 'round here."
pinches the bridge of his nose. "Still. Look awake. Or something."
"Do... do whatever you do."
"...I'm doin' it." Gilbert grinned cheekily.
"Do whatever you're /supposed/ to do then. Change a light bulb or something."
"Light bulbs look okay," Gilbert mumbled. "Plus. D'ya think I should, like, handle elec...stuff drunk?"
"... Guess you're right," he admits. "Then sweep some floors or vaccuum a carpet?""
"...m'only standin' up coz of this..." A pause. "...broom."
"..." Ludwig sighs again. "Get some coffee. And an aspirin. Or I will have to tell the boss about this."
Gilbert raised his eyebrows, "Yur gonna tattle on yur bro? For shaaaaame."
"Somebody has to draw a line somewhere. I'm trying to save your ass," Ludwig sighed.
"If ya wanna save me...grab me those stuff you jus' said. I really can' move or I'll fall down."
sighs again. "Fine. I was on my way to get me a coffee anyways."
"Grooood...I'll jus' be standin' 'ere," Gilbert slurred, chancing to nod his head a little and almost fell down from the action.
Germany
feels
his temple throb, the vein possibly visible by now. He sighs and resumes walking towards his initial goal and gets a mug of strong coffee.
While Gilbert tries not to fall down and pass out.
shoves the mug into his brother's hands.
"Gah! hot!" Gilbert straightens up, quickly grasping the handle so he wasn't burning his palms and almost overbalances. "Gimme warnin' next
time, Bruder..."
"I would have, but you were asleep."
"There's a thing of shakin' m'awake," Gilbert grumbled, rubbing his eyes.
sighs. "Or not getting drunk the night before so that you fell asleep on the job," he chides, still not amused.
"I didn't get drunk last night," Gilbert protested. "...it was this morning."
furrows his brows further. "Even worse."
Gilbert rolled his eyes. "Bruder, m'not doin' anythin' important here. I'm a freakin' Janitor."
"That is no excuse to come in drunk for work. You should know that."
Gilbert snorted and took a gulp of his coffee. "Whatever."
"Nii-san. Every work is valuable and should be cherished. I never chided you because you are a janitor, even though I know you could do
better. Please do show me that you think so as well."
Gilbert's eyebrows slowly raised as Ludwig spoke. "...you are so weird." He commented.
"...Fine. I really shouldn't be asking this, but how about a beer today after work?"
"..." Gilbert looked a bit suspicious, but after a sip of coffee he said slowly; "Alright..."
"Under the condition that you won't come in drunk to work tomorrow," Ludwig said and allowed himself a tiny smile.
Gilbert blinked, and then snorted. "That's...you're so lame. But fine, whatever. Deal."
snorts as well, "Alright. I'll catch you after work. Oh, and Honda is coming, too."
"Honda?" For a brief moment, Gilbert through he was talking about a car. "...Oh. The small Asian guy."
"Yes, my secretary," Ludwig confirmed. "I invited him earlier."
"The more the merrier as they say," Gilbert drawled.
nods. "And you try to stay awake, understood? At least a bit."
"I'm not making any promises," Gilbert droned.
"At least promise to try, okay?"
"Fine, fine, I promise to try," Gilbert yawned.
"Good. I'll check on you from time to time."
"I'll appreciate it," Gilbert deadpanned, and he drained the remains of his coffee and held the cup out to Ludwig.
takes the cup. "You can get some coffee sometimes, too. We have enough."
"I know," Gilbert scoffed.
"Good." He gives him a last worried look and then sighs again. "I'll return to my office now. See you later."
"Ja, see ya," Gilbert gave a lazy wave, resting himself on his mop again.
frowns still, but returns without saying another word.
