a new book but fears that he already read everything that's remotely interesting

what kind of books are you interested in? Fiction? Non-Fiction?
ChrisColon

I never read anything non-fiction but I think I value a book based on character depth and I'm a sucker for romance so that should come up

sounds like we have similar taste.

The Dream Life of Sukhanov by Olga Grushin, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, and Snow by Orhan Pamuk. Maybe you'd like them too?

I'll check the summaries on Amazon. Thanks for the recommendations

My taste in books is somewhat weird. I read a lot of young adult novels like Harry Potter, Twilight, Eragon, Artemis Fowl. Those were great.

It's hard to find something interesting because I don't really have a specific interest like medieval, science fiction or anything

Harry Potter and Twilight as well. I never finished Artemis Fowl, but the first three books were quite good...

Book four is great, 5 is okay and 6 is not worth the effort

if that's the case, you might like The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Johnathon Stroud, and maybe The Golden Compass series by Philip Pullman.
Tofu
will

keep that in mind if she ever finishes the series. =P

I read the bartimaeus trilogy, that was interesting because the books are told from the perspective of a daemon.

hmm... have you read the Chrestomanci series by Diana Wynne Jones? Those are some of my favourite books still.
ChrisColon

No, never heard of it. I'll check up on that too

most libraries should have some kicking around. Best of luck finding some good books!

The Chrestomanci books sound interesting, the others are too political for me I think, apart from Fight Club. But I saw the movie
Tofu

that the Chrestomanci series was surprisingly good. The Fight Club movie was surprisingly good too. =P

if I think of any more books that I think you'd like, I'll reply here.

I'm more into romantic comedy or just comedy movies but I did watch Fight Club two times so I at least don't hate it
ChrisColon

Thanks, that would be great. And give Artemis Fowl another chance, aren't you curious if Artemis ends up with Holly?
Tofu

I am curious =P Perhaps I'll be making a trip to my library this weekend...

I read them more than 20 times now I think. Somehow they are still fun to read even if the books don't seem to be "that good" at first.
