Xiang
wonders 14 years ago
what it taste like.
explains, "It's tapioca and coconut...would you like to try some?"
tilts his head lightly. "I guess so. It sounds odd." Then again, he's heard odder things probably.
offers him the glass, then. "It's very good, I assure you that."
takes a small sip from the glass curiously.
watches for his reaction, hoping he likes it.

you're hoping too much if you think he'll make a visible reaction. "It's sweet." Might be stating the obvious.
nods. "Is it good, though?"
nods at you, handing the glass back.
takes the glass. "I have some more, if you'd like some."
shakes head. "No thank you. Maybe another time though."
eats another spoonful. "If you're sure..."
"I'm sure." Answered rather distractedly, he seems to be fussing with something.
"Is something bothering you?" She asks, watching him.
"No...he just won't stay put." Brought along Yin, although he's worried the cat will get lost if he lets him loose.
stands and holds out her hands. "May I see him?"
fusses a bit more and finally gets Yin from out of the large hoodie pocket. He gently drops the small cat in Lan's hands.
takes the kitten. "He's very cute." She pets him.
"He's spoiled though." Yin purrs softly and rolls onto his back in her hands playfully.
chuckles. "That's a little cute as well...I do hope he'll learn to behave, though."
"He's usually behaved enough. He just likes playing all the time." Has no energy to keep up with finding Yin all the time.
nods. "I see...How have you been? I haven't spoken to you in a long time."
shrugs a bit. "I could be better. I guess the same as I've always been though. I'm hoping you're well though?"
"I've been well enough." She replies, petting Yin absentmindedly. "There's been nothing spectacular happening."
watches the small cat paw at her hand. "I guess so. I think I rather not have spectacular things happen usually. I kind of like it more
nods. "Yes, it's always nicer when it's quiet..." She keeps petting. "Though, it does get a bit boring..."
snorts a little. "I'm sure I already know one person who keeps things from being boring for me."
nods. "Yes...Are you happy with him?" She asks.
blinks, and smiles a little. "Yeah." He might look a little embarrassed at that question.
smiles. "That's good...he isn't the first person I'd think of as a match for you, but if you're happy, then it's all good and well, yes?"
rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "I guess not. But then again...I didn't think he'd chase me down just to ask me."
"You're lucky that he cares so much." she stands. "Are you thirsty?"
takes Yin back from her. "If he wasn't, I'd get over it though." Isn't exactly one to get upset over things. "Water would be nice."
nods, and starts for the kitchen to bring him water. "What do you mean?" she asks, returning with the water.
"I mean if he didn't care so much?" Rubs Yin's stomach with one of his index fingers. "I mean I thought all he cared about was impressing
China, so I didn't even think about it becoming like this."
nods, and hands him a glass. "I see. Sometimes, people behave strangely with the ones they care about. They don't know how to say how they
really feel." She smiles a little.
thanks her for the glass and sips from it. He doesn't say anything though since he said absolutely nothing about his crush on the Korean.
sits again, smoothing her ao dai. "Have you spoken to your sister lately?" She asks.
glances at her. "I haven't. Why do you ask?" Wonders what Taiwan has to do with anything.
shrugs. "I was just wondering." she replies.
tilts his head in wonder. "Has she been around recently?"
nods. "Yes, I've seen her. You haven't?" She looks a little surprised by that.
shakes his head. "The weather hasn't been particularly favorable to be out recently."
nods. "I understand. I've only seen her once..."
"Ah. I guess I should try visiting her then. Or at least making a call." (whichit'llneverhappenroflmao)
nods. "She may like that..."
"She'll probably be angry first for not keeping in touch."
chuckles. "Well, that may be true...but don't you want to see her?"
"As long as it's not at her place or if she's not armed I guess. She kind of hits really hard sometimes."
nods, smiling a tiny bit. "Of course. She may not attack you, though.."
sips his water. "I guess that's true. But I tend to say sarcastic things around her...and people in general."
shrugs. "That's not too bad...Tou could be worse." She stands to get herself water.
"Worse. How so?" Wonders what other people had said to her that would be worse.
returns with a glass of water for herself. "You don't always try to touch..."
"Like who?" Thought Korea off the bat. "And I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to touching."
sips her water. "I had to live with France, don't you remember? I'd say I'm a bit old fashioned as well..."
"Oh. I guess he likes physical contact hm?" Doesn't think he's personally had this happen to him when he's met the other.
nods. "Yes. He does." She smiles, and changes the subject. "Do you have any plans?"
"Other then the usual. Not really. Just work and maybe some reading. Is there something you wanted to ask?"
shakes her head. "If you're bored, you can visit me..."
her a small smile. "That sounds nice. I'll try to I guess."
"thank you. I'd really enjoy that..."
"You don't get a lot of visitors?" Can't really say he's big on getting them too...other then a select few of people.
shakes her head. "Not many, no. It's nice, but a little lonely..."
"You should visit people perhaps. Surely there are some who would enjoy your company?"
shrugs. "I do have friends I could visit...but we haven't spoken recently."
"Ah. That's no good. You'll grow distant if you don't."
nods. "I know...her birthday is soon, I should visit her."
finished his glass of water. "You should. I'm sure she'll like seeing you again."
been busy...but I will call."
"We all have been busy. Even a short phone call will brighten someone's day." Tempted to call people now but won't.
nods. "Of course...I'll call soon."
"Should I come back some other time then?"
shakes her head. "No, no. If you want to stay, then by all means, stay."
"I do not want to impose on you or anything though."
shakes her head. "You aren't imposing, Hing Kong. I enjoy your company."
*HONG beforeyoumakefunofme
"I just always find it odd. I'm not very talkative or chipper."
shrugs. "Neither am I. It's nice to speak to people who aren't from time to time, isn't it?"
"I guess so. I just imagine you wanting more mature company." Although he's not very immature to begin with.
shakes her head. "No, I don't mind your company. Young company is nice from time to time."
"Taiwan acts younger and so does Korea." He might have laughed a bit at this though.
laughs a little. "That's true. It's nice that some of you are still so young." She sighs. "Imagine how it'd be if we were all my age..."
"Korea would still act like he's a kid. And Taiwan would probably be the same." Shrugs. He imagines things not being that different.
nods. "That's true...It's nice that there are a few...innocent nations around."
"I wouldn't say innocent. But I guess optimistic is a better word."
chuckles and nods. "Yes...that's a much better word."
"Considering what they've seen or do...hardly innocent." Gives her a look.
rubs the back of her head. "Yes...well, then, optimistic."
taps his chin thoughtfully. "It would be nice to be optimistic though."
nods, sipping her water. "It is. It's nice to think optimistically when you can."
"I guess it is. I have trouble thinking optimistically."
tilts her head just a bit. "Is it? Why is that?"
shrugs lightly. "I tend to try thinking realistically I guess."
nods. "But can't you be optimistic and realistic...to some extent?"
"I guess..." Shrugs a little at you. "I guess I'm not very optimistic then.
nods. "Then you should try to be more optimistic."
